I know how incredibly hard it is to cope with, being an animal lover myself, Losing Millie nearly killed me, She was my rock through everything. The haters on here need to realize its not easy caring for a sick pet, it's like watching a family member die.. Well it was to me.. Your rabbit was so lovely, and to die at such a young age is awful. awwww ur bunny is so cute! i feel sorry for ur loss. i know what u are going through, because when i was younger, I used to a have a rabbit called Smoky and a guinea pig called Beedy. They both died of old age. The same thing happened to one of my gerbils (i think about a month ago from now.). My gerbil was called George. He was 3 years old. R.I.P Smoky, Beedy and George. u were all good pets. i also used to have two yellow goldfish, which i named goldie and treasure, and they both died in 2010.

Lots of work, but we would never have been without her, she used to want me to lie on the floor next to her and pat her and would eat my fringe if she wanted more pats. My mums painting our house and tommorow she's painting my room so she had to clean up so she decided to throw out this old rag which smelt. As soon as I asked her where it was I started crying 'cause she said it was in the bin. I quickly ran to the bin and want to my room. It was the last thing my rabit Gemma touched before she died. :'( I miss you Gemma.

I would agree with most of that except being held. My rabbits love being held and they constently beg you to hold them, if you hold them wrong they will begin to hate it. And it isnt that there distructive its more of the fact that there very curious. Mine are barely aggressive or unresponsive and if they are it means there sick, in america most first time vet visits are free. They are more likely to get cancer i think it is if you dont spay them but you dont HAVE to spay. Sorry for your loss :(

I'm sorry about your rabbit I have a holland lop dwarf rabbit and she is 6 months old. I have had 2 other rabbit on died of natural causes and that other one died of a heart attack. That was like 4 or 6 years ago. Now I have the holland lop dwarf. Rip your rabbit Buffy, your dog and my 2 rabbits. T_T
@Zeal42 my rabbit's story , she got free had babies died (cant tell why). my rabbit was my best friend i miss her so much she would never be afraid of me she was m best friend for so long she licked my fingers even when she is in the most pain and when she could hardly breath she wold lick them to let me know that she was okay and when she was lying on the table one lick was all she could do and she passed off... i am now emo and before that i was a always happy girl. i miss you fudgie baby!
@dadaslilgal aww don't be emo =( When I lost Buffy and my dog Chewy it made me so upset just thinking of them and how they died so suddenly and so painfully. They only way I learned to live without them was when I remembered a sad memory, I immediately replaced it with a happy memory. It took some effort but eventually you'll find a place in your heart for only the happy memories. And remember, Fudgie wouldn't want you to be sad! =) <3

It's very hard to lose a bunny. I lost my first one 4 years ago. He was a real 'character' and is still greatly missed.
I believe I had the same Bunny named nutmeg..she was amazing-came when you called ...so loving...your rabbit was lucky to have you it looks like you cared for it a lot..a single rabbit is way more affectionate than two rabbits -so better for us but not really better for the rabbit...you did great anyway...Z
I wanted to get a partner for Buffy but unfortunately after getting Buffy we discovered that my mum is alergic to rabbits, so for the sake of her health I couldn't. However I work from home and the only time Buffy was alone was at night when she slept.

Buffy is a really cute dwarf ram :D (RIP Buffy) :O In my school (I live/come from/in Sweden) there is a small house with rabbits. It was a rabbit named Bamse, he looked like Buffy only that he was a little bigger, and he died about the year 2008, he was old, but very nice, then :) The house is called 'Animal House'. There is only dwarf ram there .. can not remember how many, there's new cub's too. And there's 3 guinea pigs, 6 chinchillas, 1 rat, 1 hamster. :D

My bunny does a lot of the same things; she thinks everything is her toy. The shot of Buffy lying with her big bunny paws hanging out of the tube is how I see Rose most days; also the bags, the vacuum, the little flicking tongue when she drinks... rabbits are great pets (but yes, they can be destructive!)
I know people that have 2-3 rabbits & they have been no trouble @ all,& Its a shame people buy animals as presents for ungratefull children! & personaly i would rather have a rabbit than a dog that s**ts everywhere.

I got her when she was 2 months old so I only had her for 6 months. I got another bunny called Sir Humpsalot a couple of months after Buffy died and he's the best replacement I could have got. He's so affectionate and full of character! Bunnies are awesome!!

Im so sorry you lost your fur baby. my Bunny Peanut Butter died recently of a foot abscess. we tried to hard to save him.

It's very hard to lose a bunny. I lost my first one 4 years ago. He was a real 'character' and is still greatly missed.

I believe I had the same Bunny named nutmeg..she was amazing-came when you called ...so loving...your rabbit was lucky to have you it looks like you cared for it a lot..a single rabbit is way more affectionate than two rabbits -so better for us but not really better for the rabbit...you did great anyway...Z

I wanted to get a partner for Buffy but unfortunately after getting Buffy we discovered that my mum is alergic to rabbits, so for the sake of her health I couldn't. However I work from home and the only time Buffy was alone was at night when she slept.
I hate seeing ignorant owners keep 1 bunny alone in a hutch outside and never play with it. What a miserable life these bunnies must have.

Yes, I completely agree. I can't bear to think of the bunnies left out in the cold during the winter, not properly kept warm or fed or cleaned, it's a terrible crime.

How tragic, I hate it when pets die. People expect you to just get over after a little while, but my rat died a whole year ago and I still cry about it sometimes. I'm so sorry about your loss, this bunny seemed to be VERY sweet. :(

Buffy is a really cute dwarf ram :D (RIP Buffy) :O In my school (I live/come from/in Sweden) there is a small house with rabbits. It was a rabbit named Bamse, he looked like Buffy only that he was a little bigger, and he died about the year 2008, he was old, but very nice, then :) The house is called 'Animal House'. There is only dwarf ram there .. can not remember how many, there's new cub's too. And there's 3 guinea pigs, 6 chinchillas, 1 rat, 1 hamster. :D

Lol I cried watching this. Niko was a holland lop too. He died because of a tumor on his back when he was two years old. I miss him so much.

What an adorable creature your Buffy was. He looks a bit like my Harvey and it's nice to know Harvey isn't the only rabbit who loves crisps. Although Harvey insists on cheese and onion flavour only. Sorry you lost Buffy but it looks like he gave you great pleasure in life.

My 7 year old long eared dwarf rabbit Mr Bunny has a tumor looking thing on his face i am taking him to the vet Tuesday i was told it was just a abscess and that its not life threatening but needs to be checked out has anyone dealt with this and how much was it to be fixed i only have 150 and what do they do to him thanks for your help

oh sorry to hear my baby boy who is a year has an abses we cant aford the surgery and they said we can put him on antibotics till it gets unberrable but he will get feed blened up fruit an dlots of treats it sad how such a small thing can affect an animal

Wow that rabbit had a lot of toys!
My bunny does a lot of the same things; she thinks everything is her toy. The shot of Buffy lying with her big bunny paws hanging out of the tube is how I see Rose most days; also the bags, the vacuum, the little flicking tongue when she drinks... rabbits are great pets (but yes, they can be destructive!)

I know people that have 2-3 rabbits & they have been no trouble @ all,& Its a shame people buy animals as presents for ungratefull children! & personaly i would rather have a rabbit than a dog that s**ts everywhere.

I got her when she was 2 months old so I only had her for 6 months. I got another bunny called Sir Humpsalot a couple of months after Buffy died and he's the best replacement I could have got. He's so affectionate and full of character! Bunnies are awesome!!
