  • Why are you still leaving comments here when you could be faxing your senators for free. Join the over milion other members of Numbersusa and fax Washington and let them know how Americans feel about millions of jobs being taken by illegal aliens and businesses that bring in over 100,000 mostly fraudulent worker visa employees to take good paying American jobs. That is 100,000 a month LEGALLY in the midst of massive unemployment here now. Google & Join Numbersusa

  • miau bin so einsam will gekrault werden

  • I have no problem getting a great job back in India where I am a citizen or any other country which interests because I am pretty confident with the skill set acquired during the 3 year stay studying and working in US.

  • Applause Eric Schmidt ! US Government Immigration Policies towards International Students(F-1) and Highly Skilled Labour(H1-B) is unreasonable and unfair. I am Graduate International Student with Master's in Computer Science. It's becoming inevitable for thousands like me to leave the country. During our stay, we paid taxes, served the technological need for the IT Companies throughout USA. Although the need for IT is almost the same, US Govt Immigration policies are only letting us out of US!!

  • Fixing the K-12 system is good, but it will take time. What Eric Schmidt can only be understood if your in the technology industry. There are U.S Citizens who are smart and can do the job but they are limited. So we need more technical people to help us in getting the edge on technology. We've built several technology companies and it wouldn't have been possible without our H1-B program and immigrants.

  • I don't follow your logic. If you stop subsidizing colleges, that makes colleges more expensive. Government subs of states schools is what makes them more affordable.

  • I'm thinking more in terms of, when the gov. subsidizes something, it creates a demand, that demand brings prices up.

If there were no subsidies, they wouldn't be able to charge so much. The way it is now, many graduate with mountains of debt.

  • @CentrlFlagrl thats the punishment american pays for stealing the land from indians , plus this country is built under imigrants, you should only talk if you are a native indian .

  • Respond to this video... Nice video..hope the govt listens

  • Use your Stanford education to help fix the US K-12 education system and then you won't have to worry about your graduates moving back to their home countries. They'd already be citizens. Yes, I'm a product of the US K-12 education system, and I'm bitter about it.

  • The best way to radically improve the K-12 education system is to introduce market forces. A good starting point is to provide a tax credit equal to the total amount which is confiscated for a public education when a parent sends their child to a private school.

Right now private school cost is equal to the total cost of a public school education PLUS the cost of the private education and so only wealthy parents can afford it.

  • @jub0r It's your responsibility to get a good education, no one else's.

  • @BadAzVLo Certainly so, but we must also consider the effect an uneducated populace has on a democratic society. Remember, these people vote! Not to mention issues with upward mobility and the destruction of our hard-won middle class.

  • @jub0r Fair enough. It was also good to have a reasonable discussion with someone on YouTube!
