Hey man we talked about 2 years ago about my buick i never had the chance to talk to you i have a 1972 buick skylark i already went and did the GS clone, i use to run the car on open headers but everyone hated it so i switch to the 40 series flows i really dont like the sound and i want more HP im currently running it on a stock 350 should i keep it or drop in a 455? or work on the 350 any pointers? and i seen this vid about 20x i seriously love the Takeoff on it

@spankie7x A lot can be done with the 350, and it will get better mileage than a 455. You can message meif you want some ideas. The takeoff in this vid is actually really conservative. I've since ported the heads, intercooled it, and just build a new 650DP. The DP will allow it to be floored right off idle instead of bringing it up, then getting on it like in the vid. It's close to new video time!

@TEPerformance3 It can, but only at a certain amount of light throttle, low boost. Problem is the tendency for the right foot to continue onward into FUN boost, thus killing the possible economical gains.

@NJ54880 8psi on the street. Planning on 12 at the track (if I can ever get there!) The shortblock is bone stock. Cast pistons, stock rods, everything. It doesn't even have fancy bolts or studs on anything. These Buick 350's are amazingly sturdy. I do have race guts ready for a more serious bottom end that I'm hoping to hit with 20psi.

Been running 8psi, about 475-500hp. This winter it's getting an intercooler and 12psi. Should make over 600hp then. Planning on making 750 with 15psi, but not with the current shortblock.
