We all don't like how hey are saying stop in the background. Sounds wrong because it's a live rendition and it didn't come out very well. It's VERY hard to sing backup vocals while playing other instruments. They should have been kept at a lower volume than Dave. Lower than it was. Bad soundcheck.

I CAN compare. And I wasn't there. I CAN compare because if you click on my name, you'll see I know a thing or two about music (do you?). Backing vocals were not in tune, simply put. Very easy to happen live (talk by experience here). Mixes mean shit when you're out of tune or playing bad. Little you can do. Dave is playing and singing just fine because HE has superior talent just for that. Not so easy to be the same.

I quite like them though. Yes they're out of tune, shouted, and badly mixed...but that's what playing live is about isn't it?

Adds a nice edge to it, the sort of edge you don't get on modern albums. Also, its really funny to see Chris Shiftlet struggling with breathing in the "STOPS"

He answers these. this song is about dave's frustration is with the new "emo" destroying what rock is. I know i would prefer it if the old "emo" came back

In no interview has Dave ever said that is the meaning behind this song. He has explained countless times it's just a happy rock song, and the title was just something funny that stuck.

How he feels about emo or whatever it is you're saying, is completely unrelated.
