man oh man this is one of the best i have seen. I am thinking of going big with my system and you are a great teacher thanks for the vid I will have to start makeing vids to show you my setup. best of luck from NY
@nightperson123 I use to flush but with the peppers I stopped because it was impossible to flush for the continual harvest. truthfully I havent noticed any difference in taste between flushing and not flushing. Hope this helps.
@marito001 Unfortunately I dont have experience with humic acid or worm tea to know if it would work but I would say its worth a shot because you dont know till you try. Good Luck.
@marito001 This system is new but my other hydro peppers have had outstanding yields. I have a jalapeno M pepper plant that I've easily harvested well over 100 peppers off of and they are spicey. I believe my Poblano has yielded 67 so far. I have habaneros growing in my rails and others that have grown them hydroponically have said they are smokin hot so we will see. My jalapeno M's were some of tyhe hottest jalapenos I've ever grown. That includes my raised bed gardens. Hope this helps.
@darktard This is a matter of preference. Some people flush 2weeks to a couple days before harvest. One week is a good start. Just drain your resevoir and add dechlorinated water to it and adjust ph and run your system. After a day or 2 check your EC level if it rises drain the system and add fresh water. The EC will rise as salts leave the roots and growing medium. Continue to watch EC and change resevoir as needed. After 7 days you can harvest. If ec still rising after 7 try 10 days.
Notice how the plants in the middle are alot taller then the ones farther away from the light if you had more light you would have bigger plants... Right??
@rapistlicker Actually there are 13 different types of peppers in the rails. Some are bush types, some get 3ft tall some no bigger then 12 inches. So you have many different sizes. I looked today and there are actually some of the same plants that are larger that are further away from the light. What is nice with the adjust a wing it covers a larger spread then typical reflectors. As far as needing more light, the plants seem happy for now. we will see.
As others have said ~ Absolutely Awesome! Now, beyond the visual impact of your dynamic construction - how will you be able to harvest beyond arms reach?
You must be a plumber or live next store to a plumbing supply wholesaler. My biggest issue is getting home a forgetting a small connection:)) and I live many miles away.
Problem with cuckes, I'm afraid that the misters will get clogged from the massive roots (DWC or drip?).
Just Terrific Jason, won't ask for price sheet for PVC.
@19Photographer76 Thanks. From the outside of the rails I can reach 3 rails from each side so I can cover the six rails also since the rails are up off the floor I can actually sit under them and reach up in between them to harvest. We will see how that goes. On the cukes I sent you a Message check your inbox. Thanks again
Absolutely awesome! An amazing engineering feat! *Applause* So, it looks like you could be a step away from being a commercial grower! Ever thought of doing that? A supplier to small groceries, restaurants etc
uh... in your other aeroponic rail system the cups were smaller? so did you make new aeroponic rails or did u just make the holes bigger? cuz the first video you made i think the rails were smaller than the ones shown in here!
@darktard The net cupsand the rails have always been the same size. If you look in the first video the rail and cups are the same . They rails are 5x5 and the cups are 4 inch cups. Hope this helps. Actually the original rail that had the small holes(for the 1/4" line) is in the middle of the system with foil tape over the 1/4 inch holes because I had to run the misters on a 1/2 inch pipe to get even pressure.
My goodness, that is one impressive system. Great job planning and putting it together. I'll be very interested in seeing more as time goes by. Thanks for the plug too.
Hello....great system! Are you still posting videos? Are you posting them on a website?

when flushing- if the harvest is continual, like tomatoes and peppers- how do you flush 2 weeks before? seems like there is never a beginning or end

I only have Humic acid and worm tea to start a very small hydroponic system, will that work for the plant?
