I was one of the leader students at the walkout for May 15th 2009, UTLA was very supportive and caring for all the students we were given food&water...We're not giving up until we get what we want which is for our teachers to not get fired&for the Government to leave the educational funds alone
Teachers are a failure in the LAUSD. Half the students don't graduate. It's plain to see that the teachers don't care about students. All they care about is the union.
Enrollment is declining and teachers are overpaid. Teachers should be laid off. It's a crime for these teachers to say that laying off teachers isn't in the best interest of the students. Laying off underperforming teachers during declining enrollment is the only thing to do.
It's amazing isn't it how they can affort billions upon billions of dollars on bail out packages, but when it comes to health care, welfare, and education they just can't afford it.
They spend trillions in weapons/munitions manufacturing, on building oil rigs, and rebuilding parts of the places they bomb out.
How much does it cost to keep just one low ranking soldier in combat overseas?
How much does just one of those bombs they drop by the dozens cost?
O.kay, I'm back. I didn't look far, and I know my source kinda sucks, but I used wikipedia. I found out that during operation "shock and awe" the U.S. launched approximately 1700 air sorties(or deployments) using cruise missiles.
One type of long range cruise missile, the BGM-109 Tomahawk, costs about $600,000 USD each.
So let's see, $600,000 (USD) X 1700 ----------------
when the peoples' unemployments, disabilities, and welfare are cut or stop alright. And in the various cities, counties and areas thruout California. Besides and over the years, School Education in California has become too wasteful and costly. And both the Teachers Unions and various School boards draining and looting the coffers of the State Treasury. Schools are companies, And like any company, they are primarily there to make money and generate revenue.
Bring out the rubber bullets and aim for the heads......

Imagine what it will be like:
