  • the biggest names in Hollywood in the film about the biggest comic book hero just somehow didn't work out!

  • commercial is WAY too long.

  • If tim burton made this film Johnny Depp would have been the Riddler and the movie would've been darker and better.

  • 4:13 that's the question I asked myself while watching this commercial.

I like Batman Forever, but seriously this is ballbreaking!

  • KEATON IS BATMAN and should have done this movie.

  • They had to hire Optimus Prime to promote this embarrassing movie.

  • On October 31st, I waited for 3 hours outside my tiny ass town's video store waiting to rent this. They opened the doors, I ran inside & NO copies available! Just 1 copy of Batman Forever playing on the TV set in the store. All the store employees (who had took a copy home early) had forgot them at their houses!

So I sat my angry fanboy ass down, right there in the store & watched Batman Forever TWICE until one of the lazy girls walked the whole 4 blocks to her house & brought back her copy

  • This ad wasn't made for consumers, you dumbasses.

  • They really tried hard to brain wash us with this. But my brain is immune to bullshit.

  • $19.96? Thought VHS' we're cheaper then that back in 95!

  • NICE!!! The most colorful Batman movie EVER, as well as the most anticipated!!!

  • @ultramanhayata1 its my favorite..despite flaws...

  • And do you people not get that this was a promotional presentation most likely shown to Warner Bros. Stock/Share Holders to boost confidence in Warners for that fall quarter?

And you wonder why the narrator talks too much and with a financial angle...

  • Is that Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) doing the voice over for this movie?

  • @jlmill44 Sounds like him.

  • Ok movie, back before dvd.

  • All Batman girlfriends have fishy lips?

  • A bit over the top this advert

  • LMAO he makes a big deal out of this movie till now look at the dark knight its more awesome than the 5 might as well make a big deal out of that

  • OK announcer dude we get it. Batman Forever is the best movie ever. It's amazing, spectacular. We'll buy BAtman Forever. Just please stop talking and hyping up this movie and let me get on with my life. Btw,this was a long promo. Shouldn't there be a law saying promos can't be longer than the movie itself?

  • The Real Batman Films, TV Shows and Video Games are Batman 89, Batman Returns, Batman Begins, the Dark Knight, Batman: The Animated Series, Arkham Asylum

  • @snakes3425 Given your list, you're really just a fan of four films, the animated series and one video game...but not of the Batman character or his 70+ year history. Oh and no honest Batman fan would be stupid enough to pass judgment on what's the right way or wrong way to portray Batman...because there's no such thing.

Every incarnation of this character is valid. The ONLY reason Batman exists today is because of that constant evolution and his multiple incarnations.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi I gotta agree with you there. It was kinda ridiculous.

  • haha i still have my VHS

  • Nicole kidman was so frekin hot in this movie. i woulda boned her in a heartbeat

  • 19.96 is a odd price never seen it before until now anyways

  • This is really cool. Thanks for posting.

  • okay we get the point. it's the best batman film. (cough)(bullshit)!

  • I recorded this movie from HBO, that vhs tape was wasted by the end of 96, 15 years later I can't stand this movie.

  • LMAO ! BATTIER ? WTF

  • now THATS impressive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • $19.96 was a good price for a new release on VHS.

I was more into Laserdisc at the time.

Then two years later DVD came out!

  • Is that Peter Cullen?

  • i have this vhs damn this brings back good times

  • in its time it was just as good as the dark knight at the box office

  • wow, commercials were much longer back then

  • batman forever is an okay batman film, but jesus chirst this commercial is riddled with bullshit (and no that's not a pun for the riddler)

  • @DarkProphet94 But that is NOTHING compared to Batman and Robin!

  • Goddamn, my head hurts.

  • Were VHS's that expensive those days? I wasn't able to tell since I didn't pay attention to prices those days and was a child. However, I bought VHS's for $10 earlier this decade, but they were cheaper than DVDs during the early 2000s.

  • @TheManAbove Yeah in Australia VHS used to cost around $20

  • This movie is nothing more then an entertaining Batman movie. Its by far not the best and by far not the worst Yes, Tommy Lee Jones sucks as Two-Face but Jim Carry is a great Riddler. It may just be Jim Carry but its still solid and has some similarities to Frank Gorshin, not alot but some. Again, this movie is good not great. Of course it has enough things in it to argue against it and for it so i cant bitch too much when i hear bad things.

  • You know, you make a good point. This movie's no "Batman Begins" or "The Dark Knight", but it's not as bad as "Batman & Robin" either. It's just an entertaining popcorn movie, which is exactly what they were set on making with this one.

  • 2:29 to 2:49

    Bullshit satistics

  • Long ass promo

  • @Skynet773

    That's 90s ads in a nutshell.

  • It's funny that they say "Batman Forever" was 1995's top grossing movie because it was actually "Toy Story" that ended up being #1 right above this one. But this was made before Toy Story was released.

  • @CN90s toy story was better than this shit.

  • Actually "Batman & Robin" was the worst altogether, but Joel directed that one too.

  • I said the worst of the first 3, not altogether, but actually I liked Batman & Robin a bit more. Why? Simply because Tommy Lee Jones' annoying portrayal of Two-Face pissed me off to the point I wanted to throw shit at the screen, that rarely ever happens with me and movies. Batman & Robin had some bad lines but none of the characters pissed me off that deeply. I still stick with Batman Returns.

  • Oops guess I did say worst altogether, oh well. I think it is anyway, the only Batman to succeed in annoying me.

  • Popular back then... Wonder how people think of the "Best of the three" now...?

  • heeey, I have this on VHS

I think i'll not go watch it now

  • a lot of hype for a crappy movie

  • Batman Forever was released in Summer 1995 in Theaters for the biggest movie ever. And was on video in Halloween 1995.

  • was this to help the sales of the vhs release of batman forever
