If people stare at you, its not always cause they hate you. I stare at "unusual" people too but thats cause I'm curious. Only if they stare at you like they wanna kill you, then yeah...maybe they have something against you.

It is so crazy that people bully, but im here to tell you that if you provoke it then there really is no reason for the puzzled attitude when someone reacts to the way you dress, the bottom line here is that whether its right or wrong your appearance does matter and that is how you are perceived by others, if you wear black and makeup all over you face like you have just risen from the ground then yeah people will react like your a freak because well... you are.

Teachers are actually obligated to do something if they find out there is abuse in the home. My mother is a teacher and they are told it is the law to report any evidence of abuse. Of course I live in another country so there maybe different laws...

My Principle sent me home because he thought I was going to beat the sh!t out of one of my own personal bullies. He finally saw that it was sever enough to cause me emotional distress, yet still the school system did nothing. That day, I was more afraid of my own anger/rage then of anything else. I didn't even fear the consequences.
Since I've morphed into a goth I get picked on by teachers way more than my classmates. Like seriously they thought I was mentally ill because I had ripped up jeans.
A couple of months ago I was bullied by a girl I didn't even know. She was much older than me. She gave me dirty looks, called me names and followed me home. I never actually knew why, but I guess it's mainly because I'm skinny and sort of shy.

I have been bullied since my very first day of kindergarten (and I'm almost 17 now). And reason one is, I'm a big girl and I've always been. Reason 2: I have always liked horses (It was actually a reason to make people's lives a living hell where I lived) and why I am being bullied now reason 1 and that I'm a little scene / goth. I'm very pale, have blue-black hair, only black clothes, but I have always colorful eye makeup and magenta fringe. And that is not "normal", so people hate it.

Cyber bullying is the worst kind of bullying. Plus it's illegal in some states. If your getting bullied just ignore the bully, Ex: Bullies are a fire and the victim is the oxygen, If u let the bully hurt you or anything The fire gets bigger, If you ignore it u will put out the fire. Totally agree with you. Not enough people realise this, that if you can reason with them you're gonna have to fight back, literally. Then they'll get the message. Luckily I've only experience minor bullying which didn't last long. Afterwards I began carrying myself a different way which made people feel a bit anxious i think

A kid sent me a whole bunch of facebook messages saying Faggot, Ugly, Go Die, Nobody likes you, etc. and at my school, we had a cyber bullying assembly about a month ago and so they told us to take a screenshot of it and take it to the office. so i did that. They did Nothing. they said "It's Facebook, Not School. We can't do anything about that." The principal didn't even take a look at the messages. I felt like total shit after reading them and they let him go. my school is a piece of shit.

I actually let the bullies get to me.. I stopped dying my hair black and wearing dark makeup cause I couldnt take it anymore. I'm 4'10'' (and 17 years old), so I was an easy target in my ''emo'' period when I was 13 in middle high. But you know what? I stopped crying. I stopped screaming back. I stopped throwing chairs (okay, that actually made someone STOP bullying me). Instead, I started laughing at them or give them like ''o_O'' looks, and just walking away. And a year afterwards, their insults just bounced right off me! In 10th grade no one bullied me anymore. And now, high school, NO ONE bullies - anyone! :D

Almost every time I got bullied (For Behavior, my Interracial heritage and all that) and i told a teacher, They would just say "sorry". The counselors would do that too. I found there are many ways of bullying when I was in high school. Besides physical and cyber bullying, there's also the "silent bullying" (for lack of a better word). It can be one of the worst types of bullying on a mental level. This is what I really struggled with a lot, plus physical/cyber...
when some one bully me i tell them the way it is and i tell them off if need there this one guy calling me gay becues i painted my nail black and i when off becues he was the one gay after that i told a teacher becues he was follwening me to classes and want to fight me so i told on him the next day he said he was really surprise that i stand up for my self so yes u sometime need to stand up for your self but like u side to dont fight if you need to then yes
When I changed schools, this kid started to bully me. This lasted about three days until he took it to far. He tried to punch me in the face, so I choked him until he passed out. This happened in the hallway during class, and he was passed out in the hall for a good 10 minutes. We were both suspended, and as it turns out he lives a block from my house. We started hanging out during out three week suspension, and now we are best friends.

In our town, we have a block party and some scumbag kid randomly ran up to a person and just punched him for no reason. NO fucking reason. He punched him so hard that he fell to the ground and died. I've been bullied, picked on, and put down ever since the first day of kindergarten. And yeah,the school doesn't do anything. They don't care, and they'll cover anything up that they can. Besides, if you just sit and take a beating, you'll end up getting a reputation as a weakling. If you "snitch" then you're just gonna get beat harder.
@AGothicSilverStar Stand up and fight back, if you do then you will earn respect form your peers, perhaps not the ones who are bulling you, but you will gain respect and soon people will be standing up for you and fighting with you. Never let someone just come at you, fight for yourself.
I was bullied a lot when I was young. Unfortunately, I was stupid enough that was an easy step-by-step solution to the problem. All we can do, I'm afraid, is attempt to appeal to people's consciences and show them that this is wrong and you should show respect to others. This will take a hell of a long time.
I am going to say this in the most polite way possible, and this is NOT a personal attack on anyone. But if you dress the way we do, and like the stuff we like, people aren't going to understand, and people are going to look at you weird and say horrible things to you. If you can't handle the criticism that comes with this lifestyle, don't do it. Part of being different is not caring what other people think. That is all.
If it's just dirty looks in the hallway or classroom, just ignore them. They might not stop doing it but you don't have to give them the satisfaction of your attention. If you get cornered by several bullies, scream FIRE at the top of your lungs. This will draw attention to the people surrounding you. You can explain why you yelled fire to school officials later. The point is to get out of that situation as fast as possible.
I think you are one of the only people who actually speaks sense.
& although I agree with the 'tell the teacher' point you made, I find the principle actually does something & stops the issues. That's probably just my school though.
There will always the bullies b/c there will always be circumstances to create them; envy, greed, being sadistic, etc. If someone sees something that they don't understand then they may react with prejudiced manner. For ex: Sebastian's squinting. Be confident without being arrogant. Be wise w/o being a smart butt. Also there is strength in numbers, esp. for the small/weaker Emo's. Find a "big brother" Goth to pal around with or better yet. ..turn one to the Dark Side. Muaaa aaaaaa aaa!
This is why sebastian is soo fucken awesome! Btw, 3 people are cyber pussie bulliers XD and yes, these bullies always attack the quiet, because they no those quiet dont stand a chance. Thats why i think bullys, and cyber bullies are such pussies, because they dont have the balls to do it to there face, only the internet, and gain "confidence" ruining the quiet.
Hmm... What I usually do is wait until the situation gets high. I start a fight (I have taken numerous street fighting courses, usually bullies are just big and intimidating,) whip their butt, claim it in self-defense (which it was) and move on. If you happen to be in a fight, remember the bully for all the crap they have done to you. Once you see them crying, or bleeding, let emotions back in, so you don't kill them. That's just what i do.
I've been the victim of bullying, but the funny thing is, it was before I became goth...it's because becoming goth has made me a more confident person because I know it's who I really am inside. Plus people don't usually pick on someone wearing 9-inch platforms :P

Teachers are actually obligated to do something if they find out there is abuse in the home. My mother is a teacher and they are told it is the law to report any evidence of abuse. Of course I live in another country so there maybe different laws...

Hello I would like to share my story.
A couple of months ago I was bullied by a girl I didn't even know. She was much older than me. She gave me dirty looks, called me names and followed me home. I never actually knew why, but I guess it's mainly because I'm skinny and sort of shy.

I have been bullied since my very first day of kindergarten (and I'm almost 17 now). And reason one is, I'm a big girl and I've always been. Reason 2: I have always liked horses (It was actually a reason to make people's lives a living hell where I lived) and why I am being bullied now reason 1 and that I'm a little scene / goth. I'm very pale, have blue-black hair, only black clothes, but I have always colorful eye makeup and magenta fringe. And that is not "normal", so people hate it.

Luckily I've only experience minor bullying which didn't last long. Afterwards I began carrying myself a different way which made people feel a bit anxious i think

A kid sent me a whole bunch of facebook messages saying Faggot, Ugly, Go Die, Nobody likes you, etc. and at my school, we had a cyber bullying assembly about a month ago and so they told us to take a screenshot of it and take it to the office. so i did that. They did Nothing. they said "It's Facebook, Not School. We can't do anything about that." The principal didn't even take a look at the messages. I felt like total shit after reading them and they let him go. my school is a piece of shit.

I'm 4'10'' (and 17 years old), so I was an easy target in my ''emo'' period when I was 13 in middle high. But you know what? I stopped crying. I stopped screaming back. I stopped throwing chairs (okay, that actually made someone STOP bullying me). Instead, I started laughing at them or give them like ''o_O'' looks, and just walking away. And a year afterwards, their insults just bounced right off me! In 10th grade no one bullied me anymore. And now, high school, NO ONE bullies - anyone! :D

You are especially right about the damn teachers not doing a thing about it when you get bullied . Almost every time I got bullied (For Behavior, my Interracial heritage and all that) and i told a teacher, They would just say "sorry". The counselors would do that too. IT gets to the point where I almost flip when a teacher says sorry now.
As for the "Stop Bullying, Speak Up" Campaign on Cartoon Network, Im sure they will sending that message to maybe Elementary Schoolers. But you are still right

I found there are many ways of bullying when I was in high school. Besides physical and cyber bullying, there's also the "silent bullying" (for lack of a better word). It can be one of the worst types of bullying on a mental level. This is what I really struggled with a lot, plus physical/cyber...

When I changed schools, this kid started to bully me. This lasted about three days until he took it to far. He tried to punch me in the face, so I choked him until he passed out. This happened in the hallway during class, and he was passed out in the hall for a good 10 minutes. We were both suspended, and as it turns out he lives a block from my house. We started hanging out during out three week suspension, and now we are best friends.

In my old school almost every day people tried to bully me.
...i laughed at them. I laughed loud and right in their faces.
A few times they tried to deal violently with me because i didnt listen to their clever words.They never dared to beat me. Neither as they were more than 50 and i was alone (true story). Note: bullys think if they're more they're strong. Inside they're weak and often the best answere is a laugh.

In our town, we have a block party and some scumbag kid randomly ran up to a person and just punched him for no reason. NO fucking reason. He punched him so hard that he fell to the ground and died. Seriously, people should be shot for what they do, because the sad thing is, they don't listen to speakers, powerpoints, and assemblies. It goes in one ear and out the other.
I'm sometimes embarrassed to live on this Earth because of bullies...

I agree with pretty much everything you've said in this video, it's kind of surprising that you didn't mention the Suzie Lancaster foundation though. I've been bullied, picked on, and put down ever since the first day of kindergarten. And yeah,the school doesn't do anything. They don't care, and they'll cover anything up that they can. Besides, if you just sit and take a beating, you'll end up getting a reputation as a weakling. If you "snitch" then you're just gonna get beat harder.

All we can do, I'm afraid, is attempt to appeal to people's consciences and show them that this is wrong and you should show respect to others. This will take a hell of a long time.

If it's just dirty looks in the hallway or classroom, just ignore them. They might not stop doing it but you don't have to give them the satisfaction of your attention. If you get cornered by several bullies, scream FIRE at the top of your lungs. This will draw attention to the people surrounding you. You can explain why you yelled fire to school officials later. The point is to get out of that situation as fast as possible.

There will always the bullies b/c there will always be circumstances to create them; envy, greed, being sadistic, etc. If someone sees something that they don't understand then they may react with prejudiced manner. For ex: Sebastian's squinting. Be confident without being arrogant. Be wise w/o being a smart butt. Also there is strength in numbers, esp. for the small/weaker Emo's. Hmm... What I usually do is wait until the situation gets high. I start a fight (I have taken numerous street fighting courses, usually bullies are just big and intimidating,) whip their butt, claim it in self-defense (which it was) and move on. If you happen to be in a fight, remember the bully for all the crap they have done to you. Once you see them crying, or bleeding, let emotions back in, so you don't kill them. That's just what i do.
