  • WOW! I was gonna ask you to do some sushi recipes but you've already done it! I love the California roll with the orange roe over the outside!

  • @THSurvivalGear orange roe? Do you mean fish eggs? heh...I have a list of sushi recipes to make later. I'm not going to make raw sushi...since I don't like eating raw fish. >_<

  • @MikisPantry Oh yeah, you won't be getting any requests for Sashimi from ME hahaah... i don't do raw anything unless its fruit and vegetables. Yeah, I meant masago or tobiko (fish eggs) on the outside of the California roll... I've had it both ways and I LOOOOVE it with the masago.

  • @THSurvivalGear (。◕‿◕。)

  • i used to live in pennsylvania and when i went to wegmans, i used to get the spicy shrimp sushi and i loved it! it was kinda expensive, so i practiced many times to make different kinds.. i finally mastered it after coming to florida.. (just this last october) i made today for the 2nd time since i have been here, (atleast the regular kind.. still have to work on the rice outside as you have done above.. great work by the way!! :3) my fave happens to be cheese, avocado, tuna and cucumber ^ v ^

  • @crazedanisa What a passionate story about sushi. You should write a book about searching for awesome food. ;]

  • This looks delicious! My husband love the brown rice CA roll - my favorite is spicy tuna :)

  • @AsianCookingmadeEasy thanks for the nice comment, Lila! :D

  • how you pronounce genmai california roll with Japanese accent just made my day lol

    that is so lovely

  • @FiredEmpire Hahaha...!!! I suck at learning foreign languages. T_T You should hear my Spanish. It's painful to the ears. lol >_<

  • @FiredEmpire I should've used Maki.. *sigh* I realized that afterward.

  • @MikisPantry

It's totally ok. California roll is called in the same way( I mean, similar..Cariforunia ro-lu lol ) in Japan too :D

    I enjoy all your videos!

  • @FiredEmpire whenever I speak Japanese to Japanese people I meet, they are always like..."aw....kawaii ne?" and say, "you are very good in Japanese". LOL! I don't think I'm good though. Any who, have a nice weekend! :D

  • That's such a good idea! I'll have to try this!

I actually love all kinds of sushi, but I especially like the crispy tuna rolls, egg sushi, and salmon rose. Delicious :D

  • @shnugglebunny yum, crispy sushi! I like the sound of that, lol!

  • I love california roll(^0^)I never done with brown rice for Sushi.

I will try that! Thank you MIKI☆

  • @Naocoo1 haha, thank you Naocoo! ^^

  • be my personal chef : )

  • Good idea using brown rice. Never thought of that and never thought it would turn out right. And actually i was just thinking of how to use healthier grains in normal cooking, eg. making congee with brown rice, barley or quinoa. Have to say i hate raw carrot in sushi. XD

  • @theuglykwan Hehe...I wouldn't flip the nori sheet over again though. The brown rice grains separated more when I did that. >_<

  • @MikisPantry Did you try the usual trick with plastic wrap when you flip it or does it make the grains stick to the wrap?

  • @theuglykwan I used to wrap plastic wrap over a wooden sushi mat and the rice didn't stick. Now that I have a plastic sushi mat, it is A LOT better! :D I bought my plastic sushi mat on ebay.

  • @MikisPantry Yeah i noticed that and thought to myself... ebay. :D

  • @theuglykwan :D

  • I do not have favourite kind of sushi.

I am still a little bit afraid of it.

But i have tried a crab that was inside of a ball of cake. I was brave enough to eat it :)

  • @karolbeatbox That's awesome! I don't eat raw sushi much either so I understand what you mean. >_>

  • i never eat sushi but that looks yummy

  • @Boomies559 haha! I just don't eat raw much. :] I only order cooked ones.

  • I love california rolls and spicy tuna rolls. I know it may not count as sushi to some people but I love it.

  • @forevermariott It's still sushi. :]

  • I only just started getting into eating sushi. I will do a California Roll, Avocado Roll or canned tuna wrapped inside rice and nori.

  • @TiburonCoffee Lotsa rolls! :D

  • Spicy crispy tuna roll. , with tuna, mayo, dried chilipowder.

rolled inside out, like the ones in the video. but then rolled into deepfried rice( making it crispy)

  • @kitchenfromhell sounds decadent!

  • @kitchenfromhell I would absolutely LOVE to try that! *makes notes*

  • Spicy tuna crispy roll ( I could not remember the japanese name,)

also rolled inside out like this, but filled with tuna, avocado and chinese mayo. at the outside after rolling, you roll it in deepfried rice( crispy) and on top some powdered red dried chili.

  • phila sushi!

  • That roll looks super yummy.. love sushi..

I love me some spicy tuna roll or lobster roll as well..

  • @lovejazzy805 Hehe, thanks! Spicy tuna is craaaaazy~! ;]

  • California roll is my favorite..I wonder do you put anything in your rice. Or eel sushi. I usually have it once a month..you put poppy seeds does toasted sesame seeds work also.

  • @JamConcerned Cooking rice with stuff in it is awesome! I hardly do it though because it's not something that always cross my mind. Good reminder and suggestion! :D

  • @MikisPantry No I meant that once the rice is cooked. I was looking at a recipe for making rolls. After the rice was cooked they added vinegar mixture to the white rice then the spread it out wanted to know do you do this same.

  • @JamConcerned oh, okay. :] My family used to cook meat with the rice together and that tasted good! After the rice is done, sometimes, people use vinegar to toss in the rice to make sushi rice, but I don't like the smell of vinegar. I usually omit that and just cook my rice more moist by adding more water to it when I cook.

  • I love onigiri!!!!!!

  • @piepie123987 awesome! :D

  • "that's what she said".......:-x

  • @mikefromkollab lol?

  • @sisahhlee wow, red onions...never even thought of using onions in sushi. Does it taste good with it?

  • I love sushi but especially when topped with salmon, mayo n red onions

  • Unagi sushi :> is the one i liked the most since it had the least fishy flavor and was rly sweet x3

( not a big fan of fish)

  • @LadyMiako haha, its okay. I'm not a big fan of raw fish. :]

  • Mmmm Sushi...

I love the all Sushi but salmon and prawn are my fav.

  • @evoGage salmon and prawn is pretty awesome!
