  • it would be awsome if you did one for the song what i know by rebelution!

  • James could you please teach the Piano solo to Peter Frampton's "Do you feel like we do", which is the classic live version off of the Comes Alive Album.

  • UAU!

  • You're a truly great teacher... you've taught someone who knows almost nothing about piano how to play an awesome song... Thanks

  • Thanks, James... I also need to learn the piano portion of "You can't always get what you want" by the rolling stones!!! Please!!!

  • thanks man!!

  • James! You are awesome! Thanks for sharing your talent! Always wanted to play something like this.

  • Sweet video!! I know you chords are a little off but they sound pretty much the same and are easier to play. Thanks and I hope to see more soon!

P.S. any chance you could put up another video like this but for Mad World?

  • great lesson, thanks!

  • James, not to nitpick but your chords are wrong. It's actually a C9 (C7 plus D) and you need to hit the both the Bb and the A at the end of both chords and not just play 2 notes at the end.

Also, the walkdown is wrong as well. You don't play chords but simply a 2-note interval for each step: A & F (omit C), G & Eb (omit Bb), F & D (omit A), and most importantly, Eb & B (no G or C) to E & C. That phrase slurs up and not down ala a Booker T vibe. Try it out.

  • dankenton - thanks for the tips. I just figured it out by ear, I thought that D might be in there - but C7 and C9 are really pretty much the same thing with the added color.

On the walkdown, I wasn't sure if the 5th was there, but it doesn't need to be (again 5th just add color, no tonality). Thanks for the post and constructive suggestions =)

  • Sure...thanks for posting this.

  • Thanks so much- learning this for a gig!

  • Absolutely brilliant vid! Cheers

  • I allways wanted to learn this.

Thanks for putting out the video.

    Your cool.
