I had her LP too ~ I don't think she sang badly at all! Lord knows I've heard worse, and Peggy has not been complimentary of her own vocal efforts but she's too hard on herself - Her album out at the time was pretty good!

She put out an album on Columbia in the late 60s in which half the songs on it were written by Goffin & King, which was no coincidence. Back then, she was Lou Adler's girlfriend, and he was Carole King's manager at the time.

Pretty damn good! I actually think this as every bit as good as the CK version, done while she was with her group "The City". Just a bit slower, and definately more country.
