I can't believe People still fall for this sort of crap!... Poor cities in Africa are still pretty much in a MARTIAL LAW kind of state, wen you have guerrilla, war-lords and crooked officials you as a civilian can't do shit!.. you do what you are allowed to do, including rations of foreign food aids, which the war-lords them self's control. I DON'T BELIEVE IN FOOD AID.... THEY NEVER GO TO THE PEOPLE, THEY GO TO A CROOKED CONTROLLED RATION SCHEME BY A BUNCH OF BAD AFRICAN OFFICIALS/PEOPLE.

this is why Burma will not let us cross their borders to give them food aid, and rightfully so. we should NOT send Burma our excess corn, we need to enable them to grow their own corn. We are only hurting the third world through our current food aid system and helping ourselves by giving away our unwanted, overpriced food.

I read recently that by subsidising fertilizer Malawi has had good harvests and can now export food to Zimbabwe. With global warming Africa will suffer more droughts so we should be helping African farmers to be more productive so one country can help its neighbours.
