I may be a mac user and do not like the windows experience but I do respect Bill Gates for what he has done and I also do not want either Apple or Microsoft to fail since they both provide a lot of jobs and help the economy.

Oh I agree that Microsoft keeps lot's - and I really mean "lots" - of people in jobs. That's partly because Microsoft products are faulty.
If any other company was to sell a product that was so faulty they would:
* have to re-call the product until it was fixed
* get sued for selling a faulty product
* go out of business
