they are supposed to run them aground. This was the ships final journey - but it went wrong when the ship had no space to fit into the spot.

That was not an accident.  I can almost guarantee that this video was made near Chittagong, Bangladesh, where they have the largest ship-breaking operations in the world. This is where ships go to die. They run them aground on purpose, and then a whole team of guys descend on them with blow torches. EVERYTHING that can be salvaged is removed, and the steel is cut up and recycled. It's a fascinating thing to see...Google it!
