Sooooooo adorable. I have a 5-1/2 lb Havanese, Darby, who just turned five (he was bred to be small) who looks similar to Bella when Darby was in his first year. Also have another Havanese who just turned two yesterday who is the standard size, but tri color black with white and a little brown area above her nose and her name is Bella, too!

Bella came from a breeder in Woodward Oklahoma, Indian Creek Quality Pets. Training Bella was fun and really not hard. The Havanese is one of the easiest to train. With a book and lots of treats and praise it was pretty easy. I got her started and Mr. watermanxyz reinforced with lots and lots of practice. She has also learned to sit pretty on her hind legs and jump through a hoop. She is so much fun!

i have a haveneese they are easy to train. They learn so fast. They are very intelligent and love to cuddle, and play! this is a great dog for kids and adults!

No they do not shed. Their hair is very silky and fine. If you don't want the upkeep of the long coat you have the groomer do a "puppy cut" which is shorter.

i was wondering if bella is a plain havanese or if she is a miniature.... because the longer haired show dog havanese look alot bigger than bella or is that because she is only 8 months?

In this video, Bella is only 8 months old, not quite full grown, but not a miniature. She is now full grown and about 12 pounds. Lately, we have been keeping her hair much shorter because the long hair is so time consuming. She is a really joy to have around.  She loves to play with other dogs and cats. Thanks for asking.

lol i have a havenese and his name is poncho and he's a very light brown. he's a very unusual havenese cuz he's got long legs, but the vet said he's PURE havenese and he can talk and do lots of tricks lol it's so cute!

I have a Havanese too, his name is Cookie, he's mostly black, ( or a VERY dark brown ) with his eyebrows, chest, and feet white,and the same amount of fur "Bella" has.

( Most Havanese LOVE kids, or at least mine does. )

It is true, I have had mine for a few years now and barely any fur! One problem with their fur though, is it gets matted VERY easily and they require a lot of grooming.

Thanks to everyone for all of the comments about our Bella. She is so much fun and so smart. It is fun teaching her tricks. They catch on so quickly . The temperament of the Havanese is very sweet too. Bella loves kids, our kittens and is a great watch dog.
