If you google: "Vectra Thread" You'll get this super awesome thread that holds 1/4 lbs. It's pretty cool but cost 15 bucks. They have flesh colored wax and it works a lot better than candle wax and is water resistant.

Just pull a single thread from a pair of black pantyhose (about 3 feet long) Put a little ball of wax or tape on each end. One end goes in your mouth, one end is anchored to a table. Float things like a balled up dollar bill or napkin. Another source for invisible thread is UN-waxed dental floss. You have to unroll it and pull individual fibers. Use a black marker to make dashes on it to better hide it.

A very cool trick i figured out by myself is that u attach the thread to a cigarette and around your toung and then to your fingers on your right hand. Then with some practice u will figure out the best way to levitate the cigarette up to your mouth. AMASING REACTIONS !!! I promise :D

It's called nylon string, and it should be easily frayed. Even though fishing wire is Nylon you need wooly nylon.

Candles are made with Paraffin wax. It's not very sticky. "magician's" wax is much tackier. You can also get candle wick mounting wax at hobbie stores like the rag shop, JoAnne's or Michaels. That's pretty tacky as well, but not as clean as magicians wax.
