I found it rather disappointing that the channel which broadcasts F1 in the Netherlands forgot this as an option for 'best Jos Verstappen moment' and people actually picked his pitlane fire as pinnacle of his career. You should have seen Dutch people drooling over him whenever he got a good result, as opposed to ridiculing him now.

JTB was one of the best drivers of that era, only like mentioned before..in the wrong car at the wrong team at the wrong time.

@rich1701 I agree so much! Alesi and Verstappen were the two new Gilles Villeneuve. Massive talents, awesome fighthers on the track, and able to do unhuman things in bad cars. Both deserved better teams. F1 would have been more interesting with these kind of guys behind the wheel. Jos never had a good chance, but was so amazingly good ! Alesi was in the good teams at the wrong time. But such a spectacular fighter, just as Jos... We miss them!

Realy a shame that Jos never realy (apart from his first season) got a proper change in Formula 1. In terms of driving skill he was definetly capable of becoming world champion.

Hopefully his son wil make it to F1 in lets say 10 years from now. Looks verry promising

Brazil 96 was probably one of the drives of his career. If he hadn't have had that engine blow he would have been 3rd or 4th.

Argentina he passed DC in the dry for 6th, fair and square. Too bad all the top teams passed him by and he was left to Tyrrell and Arrows for the rest of his career.
