Please for gods sakes wear a helmet!! Especially starting a horse. And have some one near by to lead you first.

And since its a first ride for that horse..

wouldn't it be better to simply ask for a walk both ways, and making sure he stays supple?

But other wise good job, just don't push so hard on a first ride.

Did buy helmet & protective vest. 'Colt starting' days aren't over YET, 3 more to go. :~)

Check the Tuco vid, used a 'leader' b4. Learned another way 2 start colts & worked well here. I DO believe in encouraging that forward movement from the start. His ride was very short & not done til he was 4 yrs old. Rojo stepped right out & NOT ONE BUCK! GOOD BOY!

xD excellent! Its kinda like how wager was on his first ride. But hes a very very lazy colt... XD But he was an expert in no time! Less than a week o_o

Thanks 'Candy'. He's a wonderful lil red horse. Tries real hard 4 u. If he's handled right he'll all ways be a great horse. Rojo wants to give u all his trust.

No 'competition' to Endo here! I very much respect Endo's WORK. Endo knows, I've got three more colts to start yet. Up to my ears in young horses here. We hope good horses get good homes. Someone has GOT to get ON them.

TNX! My hat's off to Endospink. So that means a lot to me. Rojo was a jumpy little colt but me thinks he's going to be a real good horse if he's handled correctly. There is HOPE for Rojo's future (and mine)! :~)
