  • LOUL DENGS MY UNCLE IM FAIRUZ DENG SWER DOWN

  • Actually, GB has some talent. Deng, Gordon (maybe), Pops, Sullivan, Freeland, Archibald. Well, thats not very good, but not bad either. Will be very interesting team to watch in Eurobasket 2011. Too bad, they end up in VERY strong group with Lithuania, Spain, Turkey and Italy. That group is insane and GB chances to make it are damn low, but they can steal one or 2 wins.

  • ok, he's British... where the hell is his accent? :O

  • @punkodie he's from Sudan.

  • @punkodie hes 26 now been living in usa since he was 13 or 14 so the accent has just grew on him i guess

  • @punkodie He has lived in America since he was fourteen.

  • I hope that basketball in the UK grows so that GB can have a team to rival Turkey, Spain etc. and give them a run for there money.

  • @ScootezZ Same.

  • I'm English in LA, massive Clippers fan just watched Luol have a great game. The British public need to know that we have some great players like Luol and Pops and Ben Gordon, NBA greats.

  • "you know" count- 19 in 1:39

  • i currently play for the Leeds canigie under 13 and my dream is to make it as good as this gut,but as my coach says only you limit what you can do!

  • yhh i live in birmingham n it iss soo hard 2 play indoors itsss soooo expensive noo joke i jus wish that people c dat basketball is a beautiful fun sport

  • his accent is like a mix of jamaican/english/american

  • @gamb1t ur an idoit his not even from the carrabian, his from sudan which is in Africa

  • He's so inconsistent. It's mind boggling that he's Chicago's highest paid player when it comes to yearly salaries. Luol Deng sucks. His $11 million contract could be one of the main reasons why the Bulls can't land LeBron James, Wade, and/ or Chris Bosh. And with Wade and Bosh agreeing to sign w/ Miami, I look for James to follow suit. And join Wade and Bosh in Miami.

  • @HarveyRex23 what u on about

  • @illinifan512 i never said he was poor, however he escaped civil war, thats not pleasant surely

  • @illinifan512 maybe he escaped the poverty in his homeland and appreciated the hospitality the uk showed him growing up?

  • @ajangdinho hes my m8 alou's cousin do u no him?, hes got bare big cheeks!

  • real English players in the NBA:

pops mensah bonsu was born and grew up in London

john amaechi grew up in stockport (despite being born in the usa)

Steve Bucknall was born and grew up in London

Joel Freeland was born and grew up in Kent and was drafted but decided to gain experience in europe with one of their best teams (CB Gran Canaria)

  • all of these players you are talking about got good at basketball in the usa, therefore the usa made them good not england. amechi i would say is english, but only him.

  • I'm fairly sure all of those players got college scholarships in the US which is the route the majority of NBA players take to get there

The majority of their time was spent playing in the UK but they obviously improved by playing with some of the future stars at US colleges like all NBA players do

everyone one of the players I named bar Amaechi were born and grew up in england

How much more English can they get?

  • Youy do make a fair point. What i meant though, is what i would like to see is a british player that doesnt have to go to the usa to become good. i i will take away my first comment as it does sound unfair now.

  • true true but the British government spends puts more funding into fucking darts then basketball so the support basketballers recieve is nothing in relation to other European countries nevermind America.

    Football and Rugby reign supreme

I reckon things might change in a few more years after the olympics
