I have the V1 of this lens is it worth upgrading.And i use a TC 14e teleconverter i was thinking about getting the TC 20 e III i am happy with the image quality of the TC 14 will it degrade much if i go to the TC 20 e III

Worth the upgrade? No, it's pointless to upgrade a lens that you already have.

TC-20E III will turn your F/4 lens into a F/8 lens, so, yes, it'll degrade the image quality if you want to shoot wide open. It's useless on a DX camera because F/8 is as far as you can go without lens diffraction. It's somehow useable on a FX camera because you can stop it down to F/16. Not to mention, manual focus only with TC-2.0E III.

Nice lens btw.. I can rent this lens for only 800 SEK which is as much as $90 bucks :) And it cost's new... Something around 60 000 SEK which is something about $6500 bucks.. Epic :P
