in America. The radio stations are so enamored with garbage music that hardly any Jazz stations exist anymore therefore they aren't creating any

Actually, it's the other way around - "Hudson" came out in 2007. "Colibri" is from 1993 on the Tribes, Vibes and Scribes album. So "Hudson" is the lookalike; that said, Jeff Lorber has plenty of high-quality original-sounding songs.

Yeah, he did start off too fast. I'm glad the rest of the band kinda naturally slowed it down. It's hard for all the musicians to get those syncopated 16th riddums out at too fast a tempo-- it regained its Funk Appeal when the new tempo was established
