  • Nice Hooters :D

  • They're such beautiful animals, probably the best looking birds on the planet I reckon. I remember the delightful sight the first time I saw them for real at the raptors center in Vermont, 1998.

  • Breathtaking.

  • Beautiful, I have always loved owls. As a child, I had a tropical screech owl as a pet. It was a young bird, and I was able to keep it un-caged. Before return to the USA, I gave the bird to a friend. His father had connections with a wildlife conserve, and the plan was for the bird to be released.

I would never take a bird from a nest, but this owl was brought to me, by someone who had found it. I was told, he rescued it from young kids who were throwing rocks at.

  • Orly?!

  • I never seen one owl in my whole life in person. These are amazing Owls.

  • Great video!

  • 'raptor beak'

My new name for owls: PHILOSOPHY RAPTOR.

  • Tres tres belle video.Quelle patience? Magnifiques gros plans.Proficiat et merci.

  • Beautiful. But your narrator kept mispronouncing "arctic" as "artic." Inexcusable!!!

  • haha yes!!!

  • Beautiful. I spotted one (my first ever :) in my field at woods edge, in SW New Hampshire, this past Monday, Jan. 30, 2012. I could hardly believe my eyes! Then, late that night I heard the "whistle" call, repeated for several minutes.

  • Are they coming to Arizona!?

  • I wanna see one too!

  • What a great video and the owls are gorgeous!

  • I spotted two in california.

  • With the increase in their activity this winter, I'm keeping my eyes peeled. I'd love to spot one in Minnesota!

  • Exquisite video!

  • Is it possible to keep one of this fellows as pet?

  • Wonderful and beautiful creatures.

  • We have an immature male snowy owl in Jasper County, Mo., in far southwest Missouri who has been here for about a month. I've seen him and photographed him three times. I'd video him, but I don't have nearly the equipment this person has. Beautiful job.

  • I live on Vancouver Island, apparently there were sightings, alas, I missed their appearance. I did see one when I lived in northern Ontario, but that was some 40 yrs. ago. I am thirsty for another visitation. Wonderful video. Thank you.

  • @ 0:50 ~~ Reminds me of the Rush album cover "Fly By Night". The Canadian power trio, not the fat blowhard.

  • Who are the 5 people who dislike this. What's wrong with them?

  • We have had several in our area (SW IN) this winter. It has been such fun seeing them up close like your video. Fabulous Vid.

  • Seen today in Yarmouthport, MA, Cape Cod

  • Great Snowy Owl video. Thanks!

  • wonderful pictures, i have never seen a Snowy Owl. thanks for allowing me to watch your video.

  • Amazing video! We saw them in Smithville Lake, MO. However, an article in the newspaper explained these owls are starving. The four snowy owls that were killed in KS and MO by cars and train were very low in weight. Is there a way to help them and feed them?

  • Very Nice. We were actually privileged enough to have one visit us this year in Central Indiana.

  • truly divine & majestic owls. Watching in full screen made it even more beautiful. Thank you for making this excellent video.

  • What a video! This certainly is a majestic bird and one that I get excited to see every time it comes south. The last time I saw one was ~1995 along the NJ coast.

  • Great show! We had one in the neighborhood last winter. Regards from Finland!

  • An extremely beautiful and well done video. Thanks.

  • So Very beautiful .

  • i saw one in new york city, on the top edge of a highrise building. some seagulls were harassing it. he casually reached out and grabbed one, and ate it. about 15 years ago.

it was bigger than i had thought from books. five years earlier, i saw one on a distant fencepost in a field in hopewell, NJ. it never moved. both sightings were late january.

  • Very beautiful video of an equally beautiful creature.

  • Nice videography. Well narrated, though I wish it gave a little more detailed information. But overall very well done.

  • I just luv snowy owls. They are my fav birds. This is a great video!

  • Beautiful! This was great to see! Heard they have been spotted at the coast here in NH recently wish we could see one!!!

  • This is very well done. I have been looking for a Snowy Owl all winter and hope to see one before they head north.

  • So beautiful, what a joy to see them in the wild.

  • Absolutely beautiful! Fantastic video and photo's of an amazing bird.

  • What a glorious animal.

    .

If an hour video was made of this animal by this Lab I will buy it.

  • so beautiful !

  • Invasion rly?

  • Can I post this video on my website and share with my classmates ? Can I ?

  • How do these birds avoid overheating in warmer climes, especially when they're so well-insulated?

  • A majestic bird indeed. How thrilling it would be to see one.

  • Amazingly clear video and photos of the snowy owl. A very beautiful bird of prey.

  • Really nice work on this video. These are easily the most beautiful of all raptors - and a terrifying sight for the poor Lemming that makes up most of its normal diet.

    Excellent photography - congratulations!!

  • They are amazing!

  • I got to see one last month and though i usually dont go for any spiritual BS, seeing one of these beautiful creatures really moved me.

  • Beautiful shots.

  • @robinleepowell HAHA! I noticed that too!

  • Phenomenal.

  • and most of them will perish...so sad

  • While camping at Point Reyes National Seashore last week, I heard at least four owls in the evenings but never actually observed them other than one evening when one was clearly attacked by a hawk. The owl sounded gravely injured and appeared to be protecting a nest. Your day footage of the snowy owls is amazing. The unusual attack between two birds of prey happened so quickly, that I could not get a video recording, but is a moment I will soon not forget.

  • so beautiful. nature never ceases to amaze me. thank for this lovely short film.

  • stunning, absolutely STUNNING!!! ~and what a fun and fortunate job to have for a living..= )

  • Beautiful!

  • Awesome !! I live on Vancouver Island, and watching the news, saw the report on the "Owl Invasion " in Ladner , on the mainland. Why didn't they stop here for a visit ?? The only one I've ever seen in the wild, was in Manitowadge Ontario, when I lived there in '70-'71. Beautiful , and awe inspiring experience !!

  • This was beautiful!

  • I enjoted it very much. Thank you

  • Fabulous video/photos. Thank you for sharing with us. I had the privilege of seeing 12 gorgeous Snowy Owls in south-central South Dakota on Dec. 23 near the Lake Andes National Wildlife Refuge. I hope they are successful in finding food in the fields.
