I remember attempting to tape this commercial during commercial breaks within the Super Mario World Cartoon or TMNT. Wow. That was 20 years ago, and 20 years since I received my first SNES for the holidays.

It was my second system, and I must admit it, it is the best system I've ever had.

Today, it's some very powerful PC with HD graphics :)... but... you know... the gameplay really matters and that's what super nintendo is all about.

What is fun about old video games, they still exist today on PC so you can play Secret of Mana again. I also discovered Final Fantasy II was in fact IV in Japan, really hardcore, a lot more combat with adult dialog (sex connotation) so I had to finished FFIV again

Art of fighting, Brawl brothers, Double dragon, Battle toads, And many other 2 player games. Meaning you can co-op or go vs each other. If you Play it now with friends, I"M POSETIVE you 2 or 4 humans are HOOKED to thoose games.

The solo games, All final fantasies, and all other rpgs.

Now this was my second system.

My first system was the sega genesis (of course) but back then I didn't watch commercials to find out when the newest console came out and obviously we didn't have internet yet telling us when the newest console or games were coming out, and the way I found out about super nintendo was I was playing it at my friend's house and he first introduced me to mario in super mario world.

After I saw how the game was I just had to have super nintendo too!

@Souper13 mmmm, games aren't too complex to be honest. the only thing that's complex about games would be the control schemes. the standard controller uses 2 analouge thumbsticks, a d-pad, 8 actions buttons, 3 miscellany buttons. look at the popular games, they're all fps; you'll be using the thumbsticks and triggers the most. first person shooters don't require that much brainpower to master, all you need is good reflexes and level memorization which only takes a couple of tries.

@MarkNESReviews if your any smart...you know that it was something similar to rusting of the plastic as the combination of chemicals was wrong and alowed it to oxidize...causing yellowing...it shows age, and love...my snes is beat to hell, has 20 years of dirt, and still has the correctly colored extention port...so in my opinion its actually nice to see age

@extremenj18 I'm inclined to agree with you. Super Nintendo, in my opinion, was one of the best consoles. I am so glad the Wii has the virtual console so I can play all of the classics that I used to play. The Wii may be inferior to the PS3 and the 360, but it has that nostalgic charm that the other two can't duplicate.
