I think itunes and the ipod programs belongs on failblog. Whats with the whole playlist set up? Sometimes you just want to listen to one song in particular without having to end your shuffle and start a new one when the song is over. Zune had it simple as it should be, play song/album next, then continue with the shuffle. Very unfortanant, the only problem (big problem) I had with zune, is the devices go out easily. Rather than that, I liked everything else about the zune over ipod
The Zune is alright. You can burn the battery out pretty quick though, to the point where it wont stay charged very long. Other than that, it works very well. I would just say take VERY good care of it.

I will admit Ipod has a strong marketshare but at the time I got my Zune the Ipod couldnt do video. It was music only and I do a lot of video stuff so it made sense for me to get the Zune. But now I want an Ipad LOL!

ipods suck..i had few ipods over the years and they all broke down on me. the "Genius Bar" people couldn't fix shit and just kept replacing my ipods. and i couldn't clean the hard drive before i handed it over. so now the people at apple have information and photos of my friends and family in their files. i don't trust apple and never will. had my zune for over 3 years and have not had any trouble. ever dropped it a couple times and works sweet.
Zune is the better product. No proprietary product problems. You can upload & download everything on them. With out worrying if they are link with itunes bullshi... Apple are just crappy proprietary products. I have had many of both. I sold all my apple crap.
I agree with akumajo100; Zunes are just as good as ipods, if not better. They're just not advertised as much, and therefore aren't the standard. Zunes are easier to use, and allow the user to customize it way more than any ipod I've ever used.

apples not really as high up as u think. ipods, lets see, yeah, good features, drag N drop ONLY through iTunes. Cons: Drop it, its fucked (went through 3 of the 80GB and 120GB) if ur hands are kinda cold, good luck using the scroll wheel, its heat sensitive. randomly cranks itself up to max. locks up frequently. cant load MPEG video files to it, unless u convert them to MOV. quicktime files. no WMA support. u tell me again how ipods and apple are the revolution of how we do things.
all you do is use handbrake to convert a dvd movie to mp4, and load it on the iPod touch and your done, it's as simple as that, and the movie looks great.
apple will sell a new device every year that has 1 thing different about it and u pay another 250 to say u have the newest ipod but zune u can have the first one and still have the newest functions Zune FTW
iPod touch is way better. Zune has not the AppStore and uses HD radio (which stand for hybrid digital) and Nvidia Tegra (old tech) for sell something more than 1,1% /zune marketshare). But it fails. Why? 'cause the software is the key. And what about the poor OLED bright? right.

I played with a zune once, i can say it feels like windows OS, bulky cluttered and over complicated. Where is the wow factor of the zune, the ipod had a cool click wheel that no one else had at the time. the ipod has a touch screen with cool games. the ipod had a dead simple OS that work perfect with itunes. The ipod was to me the fist device that allowed me to carry all my music in my pocket and adding music was easy as plugging it in to sync. You can keep you radio and 3 play share songs.

The Ipod is fairly popular, but I'm sure it hasn't got the apparent 80%-90% market saturation that the US has, I'm sure it's more like 40-50% here.
Creative Zen and Sony Walkman MP3 players appear to be quite popular, from what I've seen when travelling by public transport. Although recently listening to music via mobile phones, usually Sony-Ericsson, Nokia or Iphone, is becoming increasingly dominant.

I meant the sound output on the zune device is better. By using a good earphone or headphone, you can find the differences. (I am using a Westone 3 with a P-51 amp). Of course, some pmps like the Iaudio 7 beats both of them.

I miss those days... I remember on my old Creative Zen, you didn't even have to hack the thing in the registry to use it as a portable HDD. Since everything was drag-and-drop, you could just transfer any file you wanted over to it. It was sweet.

apples not really as high up as u think. ipods, lets see, yeah, good features, drag N drop ONLY through iTunes. Cons: Drop it, its fucked (went through 3 of the 80GB and 120GB) if ur hands are kinda cold, good luck using the scroll wheel, its heat sensitive. randomly cranks itself up to max. locks up frequently. cant load MPEG video files to it, unless u convert them to MOV. quicktime files. no WMA support. u tell me again how ipods and apple are the revolution of how we do things.

Zune's were only released to compete with the Ipod, which failed. You can play Sodoku listening to Bill Hicks on a Classic, a nano, and a touch. Or play Uno while listening to Metallica, or Monopoly with Ratatat. This is the only time in history ever ever ever I would pick apple over microsoft.

Microsoft surface doesn't detect your touch from a touch sensor, it detects it through an optical sensor which means it sees you place stuff its SEES you touch the screen, IT ASLL SEES what ever you put on it, it also instantly connects to anything that has bluetooth sitting on it. did apple do that? I played with a zune once, i can say it feels like windows OS, bulky cluttered and over complicated. Where is the wow factor of the zune, the ipod had a cool click wheel that no one else had at the time. the ipod has a touch screen with cool games. the ipod had a dead simple OS that work perfect with itunes. The ipod was to me the fist device that allowed me to carry all my music in my pocket and adding music was easy as plugging it in to sync. You can keep you radio and 3 play share songs.

The Ipod is fairly popular, but I'm sure it hasn't got the apparent 80%-90% market saturation that the US has, I'm sure it's more like 40-50% here.
Creative Zen and Sony Walkman MP3 players appear to be quite popular, from what I've seen when travelling by public transport. Although recently listening to music via mobile phones, usually Sony-Ericsson, Nokia or Iphone, is becoming increasingly dominant.
These are all my own observations BTW.

I meant the sound output on the zune device is better. By using a good earphone or headphone, you can find the differences. (I am using a Westone 3 with a P-51 amp). Of course, some pmps like the Iaudio 7 beats both of them.

I miss those days... I remember on my old Creative Zen, you didn't even have to hack the thing in the registry to use it as a portable HDD. Since everything was drag-and-drop, you could just transfer any file you wanted over to it. It was sweet.
