  • Cool T-shirt man! Poison Rock!

  • what song are you listening to? I know its a7x

  • @sk8zach yeah

  • @sk8zach "Betrayed"

  • Also, don't BS me that I'm just some kid posting stuff on youtube and just read fitness magasines. Your CPT doesn't even require a highschool diploma, I could apply for NASM online, get books, be done in 2-3 weeks and be just like you, woopie doo. Btw, girls do have lots of fitness videos, just not jock-wanna be-like this one. It's called cardiovascular training.

PS. form isnt proper, and you didn't tell people to warm up before any exercise so you woulda failed any CPT right there. =)

  • @CPTftw14 Kid, you couldn't pass the NASM in 2-3 weeks if your life depended on it. To become a firefighter all you need is a high school diploma and to be 18 years of age... Let me guess, you could become a firefighter in 2-3 weeks too? Lol. Again, you get on here and just write a bunch of bullshit, give insults, but yet you can't give any reasoning to your ignorant criticism. You have no idea what you're talking about.. And by the way, numb nuts, warm ups are not a 'requirement'.

  • @CPTftw14 Kid You have no videos. You have nothing. You just get on here and talk shit. It's easy to get on here and say I'm wrong, call me a jock, etc. "You didn't tell people to warm up"... Haha.. Are you serious? That's all you can say? Please tell me what altered reciprocal inhibition, or sliding filament theory, or what the purpose of the golgi tendon organ is? Go ahead, google all of them and give me an answer. Haha. You're a little punk bitch that talks shit behind a keyboard.

  • @CPTftw14 Oh yeah, google "Top 5 Personal Training Certifications" and take a look at #1. I bet you're some 18 year old, 5'10, 180 pound loser whom was constantly picked on and now you started to lift weights and think you're some sort of expert.. Tell me, where do you train Mr. CPT?

  • I'm not going to say I don't want to be rude, but you are rude and arrogant. You think you know more than everyone and think everyone just reads men's health magasines. Never agree you are wrong and think NASM is best certification in the country? oh please.

To become an NASM CPT, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age NASM exam enrollment must be paid in full CPR

  • by the way please don't hate on scooby..lol. I dont agree with a lot of his methods either, especially his focus on too many isolation exercises instead of compound lifts. But the man's experience speaks for itself.

  • @NASMCertifiedOkie Dont get me wrong, i never said your way was right\wrong.I'm a medical doctor with 16 years BB experience if that helps my credibility..This way allows for a good stretch of the lats and most pro bodybuilders use the form u demonstrated. However most people on here are beginners who need help with form, new techniques etc and i'm tired of seeing novices try to pick up 100lb dumbbells and swing it up, dislocating their shoulders. I didn't mean to cause a problem

  • @keshav0312 Actually, you did say my way was wrong. My form is right. There is no argument here. Beginners or experts, it doesn't matter, my form is correct. I've never told anyone any wrong technique or form. You will not dislocate your shoulder by doing any form I've shown... And isolated exercises are the best way to gain muscle mass... compound exercises are more for endurance.. Just because you're a MD doesn't mean anything. The NASM is respected more than any degree out there.

  • The one arm row you demonstrated by dropping your entire shoulder and pulling that high would only get you injured. The wrong method you showed is actuallly the right form, key is to pull upwards AND backwards if you're targeting lats. Dorian Yates back vid or scooby1961 has a good demo. Everything else is right on target. good vid

  • @keshav0312 How exactly is it incorrect form? By not allowing your shoulder to fully extend, you're only hitting rear delts. It's so easy for you to get on here and say "that's wrong" without providing your own examples. By fully extending, you are allowing full contraction of the traps and lat. You will not reach a sufficient contraction by only allowing the delt to do the work.. I don't want to sound arrogant, but I'm right, you're wrong. If Scooby's so smart, why when I've criticised his

  • @keshav0312 videos telling him why he's wrong, does my comment magically disappear? Lol. Scooby works off the ignorance of individuals like yourself that read a couple men's health magazines or take a few health classes in college and now you're this hot shot health expert. I've been doing this since I was 12. I'm now 23. I have 100% re sign by my clients and I've been certified multiple times through the NASM which is the highest ranking certification in the country. What are your credentials?

  • If you guys want the best gains in life, search for victor costa.. now victor doesn't need certificates to be one of the best trainer in the world.. other than charles glass, poliquin. These are facts. Not made up facts. These guys are really some of the best trainer. go watch him "victor costa" and in addition... this guy in the vid is not a very good trainer.. wheres your confidence? you always say um um.. we need a trainer who knows his stuff and also extremely sculpted too :D

  • @27pepsiice I'm not a very good trainer because I say "um"...? Some people cannot get "sculpted", as you say, unless they use some form of supplementation(steroids). It's literally genetically impossible for some. I'm so sick of little douche bags like you that come on here, put my videos down, try to promote yourself or others, and have no facts to offer. Where's your video showing me how a 'good trainer' should train??? Exactly. Shut up fatass. Go stick a needle in your ass.

  • Comment removed

  • @NASMCertifiedOkie

bro check out victor costa.. and then reconsider the word steroid ;) this one is fact.. hes known as one the best. check google and you'll find out who he is. I dont need to show videos of how good trainer should train.. imma lead you to it now.. yeah put in victor costa in your search box.

  • @27pepsiice I checked out Victor Costa. He is very intelligent. I disagree with some of his methods but that's what makes resistance training so great... However, I am only 23. I'm still learning... But, with that said, I probably know more about proper technique and getting results than 90% of the population. Thanks for commenting.

  • No need to get all mad. I am just saying to add in the lever ( or Lat) Bar adds another element and variable to target balance. Sometimes it can help to strengthen one side and unload some of the work to one side more then the other. But no need to get all mad. Do you have a degree in the field?

  • Im not trying to be rude but Lat pull down can get you width in your back and if done properly then you will engage the lats with high intensity. I dont disagree with your video but to cut out working the lats in the frontal plan by cutting out the lat pulldown then you are limiting your growth. To engage the back aka the Lat and the posterior delt you can use the lat pulldown. Why do you think people do pullups? I dont agree with cutting out Lat pulldowns completely... Proper technique is key.

  • @LiftCurtisClay When do I ever say not to do lat pulldown? Actually my first exercise is a lat pulldown, just not with a bar...

  • I'd tap that

  • good vid! thanks

  • lat pulls to chest are scientifically proven to increase the V of the back , so false , but if u go too heavy you will damage the joint going that back in

  • @TheMRamstaff I'm saying that you will benefit more from doing single arm cables rather than straight bar pulldowns... and what 'joint' are we talking about? If you are going to claim what I state is false, please provide factual information backing your criticism. You look foolish otherwise.

  • great tip about those dumbell rows, i was doing them the wrong way...but not anymore:)

  • Background music is killing me.

  • haha i can here HED PE in the back ground

  • Very good man! Abd I know how to workout! The lady that was contradicting you sounds like a manual and that she is. She will never be able to create anything because she lives by her learned theories... who wants to know all that scientific shit when you are working out in the gym anyway? The average person will not know. She hides behind superfluous words!

  • This video was incredibly helpful. Until now, I was one of those guys you saw doing the Dumbbell Rows wrong (I was wondering why they weren't even working my lats). Thanks dude, appreciate the tips.

  • you can look up the origin and insertion of the latissimus dorsi yourself and also the motions it performs. scapular protraction is not one them, The latissimus dorsi attaches on the humerus, lower vertebrae, sacrum, and ilium, and ribs. Its motions are extension, hyperextension, medial rotation, and adduction. Your "certification" doesn't require a bachelors degree. Im starting grad school in physical therapy. and I know my anatomy. And my CSCS trumps yours.

  • @DaNitheG1rL Again, I said that the LAT PULLDOWN also hits the traps, and when you want a sufficient contraction for the traps, you squeeze the shoulderblades together... No, my certification doesn't require a degree. But it's the highest certification you can get in the United States. I would take my NASM over any sports degree out there. Nothing you have 'trumps" anything of mine. I get people like you all the time commenting on my videos. A. You're a woman. B. You have no videos.

  • @NASMCertifiedOkie Yeah i just heard that. Totally misread traps for lats because the whole first half of the video was about latissimus. turn the down the music so we can hear what your saying. damn it. but I find isolating individual muscles as best as possible allows them to work for efficiently during anaerobic activity. thats why i said don't retract. to isolate the latissimus more.

  • @NASMCertifiedOkie trolld hard

  • @NASMCertifiedOkie what the fuck does her being a woman have to do with anything

  • @sinniist Everything.

  • @NASMCertifiedOkie Misogyny? You're pretty pathetic.

  • @abbayag I'm not misogynistic. It's just that men usually 9 out of 10 times will know more about personal training and working out. Look up youtube videos for working out and fitness tips, do you see any women making videos? No.

  • hey, just a little tip on the lat pull down, keep your elbows tucked in, this isolates the latissimus dorsi more effectively. Also, theres no point in pinching your shoulder blades together, because the lats are not attached to the shoulder blades at, it just takes away from the purpose of the exercise by recruiting more muscles.

Credentials- Bachelors in Exercise science :)

  • @DaNitheG1rL ... Well, actually I have to disagree. Your traps contract by squeezing together the shoulder blades, as well as the rhomboids. The lat pulldown hits every major muscle in the back, and synergestic muscles such as the biceps. I've made people with Masters degrees in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, and Sports Medicine look like idiots. So your credentials don't prove anything. No offense.

  • I agree with Okie, you should pinch your shoulder blades together till there almost touching, he said it pretty well himself...

and nobody cares about your bachelors, I have a masters in kinesology, and I work as a full time personal trainer, and live on a salary of close to $30,000 a year, which kind of sucks, luckily I don't have a family, if I did, I'd be bankrupt.

  • Thank you so much for this video. It's helps alot for people like me that don't have much development in the rear delts or trap and makes it look like I hunch. I can't wait to use these! If you plan on making anymore I'll definitely subscribe.

  • this guys body looks EXACTLY like mine, those high triceps

  • @11033066099 It sucks having long muscles. Not near as much girth or definition!

  • Hey nice tops man! I never thought about lat pulls with a bar would llimit my range of motion. Got me rethinking all my workout routines!

  • makes me happy seeing ppl such as urself doing db upright row properly, full range stretching and twisting. It is the best way to do it, good job!

My advice though, if u wanna build muscle dont do 8-10 reps and 4 sets, do more like 2 sets @ 4-5reps failing by the 5th.

idea for workout is to rip tear damage those micro fibres, u must be getting those doms the following days. So to do this u must do 3 things.

MAX WEIGHT, FULL RANGE, DIFFERENT EXERCISES.

  • great vid lol at them getting at your gut, i have the same problem

  • i hear avenged sevenfold =P good video!

  • respect for doing exercises. But, do this thing....when training back muscles, video it. First use those rope-handle things grome the begining of the video and then use a V-shape small handle ( i dont know how its calles), using bouth hands, rowing i think, and do it sitting. Pull it to youre lower abdomen area , to the waste. U will see that the movement in bouth exercises are similar, the arms are not restricted with the V-shape handle, it is the same thing.

  • Great video bro thanks for the tips, Erizzzzle- its a special order shirt, Medium with XXL sleeves cus my boys shredded.

Nojoke- He's giving good tips for free, but your probably the type that pays a trainer at the gym $75 to be treated like $h!t, don't hate.

  • you need to spend more time in a book and less time in the gym.

  • Great video

  • I would do him sssooo good. Great vid. I know what he's saying about being limited by bar lat pull downs. They suck.

  • is that t-shirt a Small or XtraSmall

  • XXsmall. Special ordered.

  • @NASMCertifiedOkie haha im just hatin.. good vid tho

  • @Erizzzzle Baby Gap.

  • @Erizzzzle XXSmall special ordered.

  • @Erizzzzle Are those arms XL or XXL?

  • Nice Tummy =)

  • I don't lift to get cut. I know I have a gut. I drink whiskey. Nice try though. Oh, but I do have 20 inch arms. Thanks.

  • @NASMCertifiedOkie hey man, question, do you know any good workouts for wrestlers just wanting to have cut lats and traps??? or bigger traps and cut lats, like the rep ranges and such and certain exercises??? and to me you dont look fat, me i kinda got the same problem being at around 185-190 6,0

  • You look fat bro

  • @nojokenygren training has nothing to do with bodyfat %, some people bulk for 2 years and then cut, so they have massed a lot of muscle and some fat too. noone says you have to be cut all year round; fuck off.

  • I was just sayen your fat.

  • Haha. Alright.

  • i was told not to move should up and down like that and to just keep shoulder at neutral position ... what is their reasoning? and whats yours? thanks

  • mean to say "shoulder", not "should"

  • Which exercise are you referring to? Mark the time in the video.

  • around 3:08 with the dumbell rows... I'm not sayin your doing it wrong tho but mabye different ways work differently to the muscles? hmm.. dunno... whats your take?... oh and thanks for the relply bro

  • Well, if you were to keep your shoulder in a locked position and no movement, you are not getting a full range of motion and really not getting a full eccentric contraction on the traps and lats. Also, by staying in a locked postion, you only really hit the rear deltoids. By going through the full range of motion like I've shown, we over exaggerate the row. If you've ever watched a rower in an actual boat, notice how he reaches way forward and extends much like I've shown here.

  • Snot starting up at the very end.. nice.

  • Damn man, Nice. Nobody listens to Snot anymore! That shit gets my hyped.

  • good tips thanks!

  • Nice video, Thanks
