It's just a caricature of the black minstrels who were popular in decades before them, so what's the big deal. They capture the words and accent, the style of humor, the way they dressed and danced. It pisses off some blacks because it's an accurate depiction. It's far less degrading to black people than most rap music, and certainly not vulgar like rap choreography. Get a grip people.

I could never be personally offended by this. No one I've ever known acts like a blackface stereotype. In fact, I pity every "great" minstrel entertainer. I'm black and I don't find this racist at all, I think it's good to have stereotypes. Even back when racism did exist. I see this as history and not something that should be criticized over past actions. If you get offended by this then you should equally be offended by black history month.
Unrelated but I remember back in my school days when there was controversy over a pack of all blackcurrent jelly babies simply because they were black in colour, I amused at how ridiculous this was. Peace

You know what/s funny about this? Santa Claus, as you know it, is ripped off of the Dutch 'Sinterklaas'. Whereas Santa Claus is assisted by elves, Sinterklaas, who's depicts a Christian saint, is assisted by what we call 'Zwarte Pieten', which are meant to be African slaves. For numberous days a year some people walk around dressed up as them (they're always white). They even appear on TV.
