The way adult link died in the water was simply depressing.

Watching him die as a child is just downright unsettling, particularly if it's a drowning or burning death. I have no problem subjecting him to all manner of horrible barbarity as an adult, but somehow watching that little body keel over pathetically and just lie there broken manages to pluck a twinge of remorse out of even my blackened gamer's heart.

There's a death animation in Ocarina of Time where Link fall forward on both of his knees before flooping face-first, but I'm not sure how to activate it. Only seen it once and he was fighting Ganondorf. Link got hit by one of the power balls.

Might've been Phantom Ganondorf though, can't remember. But I'm CERTAIN Link fell on two knees instead of one, face first! Adult form of course.
