This thing works so well, I can now smoke in my room without opening the window or the smell leaving my room

When I blow smoke directly at the light you can see it work! On Ebay for £13 or so and worth every penny!

@jackdaknife Hi Jack, we wouldn't really recommend for you to blow smoke directly into the light but it's fantastic to hear that it works!

What is the point in having a lamp like this?

@ChachiBold Among other things, negative ions help freshen and purify the air by causing allergens such as pollen, mould spores, dust and animal dander floating in the air, to be attracted to and stick to one another forming ‘clumps'. These clumps of particles then become heavy enough so they fall to the floor. These particles can be vacuumed up or otherwise removed.
