My dear brother in Christ, what an absolutely beautiful and powerful message in this song. It is Tuesday morning and I can't think of a better way to start my day, other than reading God's Word. This will be one of my favorites and I will listen to it over and over, again. I thank you for sharing this with your YT friends and I pray that you will be able to bring us more songs like this in the future. What a blessing it is to be able to hear and see what God has put before us. God Bless!
"We should all strive to be among those who are redeemed and will be alive when Jesus comes!"
No!Absolutely not! When Jesus comes the second time, there will not be a single Christian left alive, for we/they will all have been Raptured into His arms and before the Judgment Seat of Christ, to receive the Crowns of which we will be found worthy!
Please look on my blog (google it!)TRUE CHRISTIANITY vs ROMAN CATHOLICISM, for "The Judgment Seat of Christ is ONLY for the SAVED!!!" posted on August 6
@RainhadoCanto4 I do not subscribe 2 the so-called pre-trib secret rapture theory, because I do not believe it is Biblical. That theory, btw, has its origins in the Counter-Reformation, which obviously was initiated by the RC church. There were two theories of prophetic interpretation outlined by 2 RC priests, Alcazar (Preterism) and Ribera (Futurism) to counter the Protestant school of interpretation (Historicism). The 7 year tribulation and secret rapture theories are products of Futurism.
Michael D. Guinan, O.F.M., Ph.D., a professor of Old Testament, Semitic languages and biblical spirituality at the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley, CA, was asked by a student "What is the Catholic teaching on the Rapture?" It was over 30 years ago that a student in his Scripture class asked him that question. Drawing on all his years of Catholic education (kindergarten through the seminary and doctoral studies), he replied, "The what?" He had never heard of it!!
@RainhadoCanto4 According to Wikipedia, the prophetic school of Futurism was developed by the Jesuit priest, Francisco Rivera "In order to remove the Catholic Church from consideration as the antichrist power." His commentary on the book of Revelation titled, In Sacrum Beati Ioannis Apostoli, & Evangelistiae Apocalypsin Commentarij was published in 1590. He died in 1591, so was not able to develop the theory any further, but others did. Among them were both Catholic and Evangelical scholars.
@RainhadoCanto4 Futurism is the prophetic school of interpretation which teaches the secret "Rapture" theory. Again, Futurism wasn't developed for the Catholic church per se, but for Protestants, as a way to distract them away from the Historicist view, which up to that time was universal among Protestants. Most Evangelicals today don't really consider themselves Protestants anymore, largely because of the Futurist view. I believe in translation (the word "rapture" is not in the Bible).
Thus here verification that a Roman Catholic invention it is not!
By all accounts, I am a 'new-born" Born Again, and, Praise God, He has placed the very right people on the path of my learning the Truth. Thus, I quote what one of my very knowledgeable teachers has said:
"The Roman Catholic church has NEVER taught a Pre-Trib. Rapture, and they never will! The Counter Reformation's purpose is to draw all 'Protestants' BACK to Rome! The Pre-Trib. Rapture pushes us AWAY from Rome!"
@RainhadoCanto4 Futurism which includes the "rapture" doctrine was not developed by the Catholic church for Catholics, but for Protestants who up to the time of the Counter Reformation were convinced because of the day-year principle among other Biblically sound principles of the prophetic school of interpretation now called called Historicism that the papacy was the ten headed, seven horned beast of Revelation 12 & 13.
@RainhadoCanto4 Preterism, which teaches that most major prophecies were fulfilled in the past, before the Catholic church came into being, is the theory that was primarily developed for the Catholic church itself in order to help keep Catholics in the RC church instead of joining Protestantism. So either way, Futurism for Protestants, or Preterism for Catholics, the idea was to distract people from the Protestant view that the papacy is the Beast of Revelation.
"Evidence" for this is found in 1 Cor. 15, 1 Thess. 4, Rev. 4-5, John 10, etc." Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth MOURN, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
For then will He come to judge with a fierce hand, the unbelievers, no longer as a Lamb, but with the fierceness of a LION!
@RainhadoCanto4 There is nothing in scripture that speaks of a secret rapture. According to 1 Thess. 4:16-18 the event where "we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air" is a very noisy event which happens when "the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first." This takes place at the 2nd coming after great tribulation.
@RainhadoCanto4 That doesn't surprise me, although, my father-in-law was also a devout Catholic, and when he got involved with the Charismatic movement while still a practicing Catholic, he heard a lot about the rapture. He eventually left the Catholic church, but he became an Evangelical, not a Protestant per se. The Catholic church doesn't care so much if you leave the RC church, as long as you don't become a Protestant, and identify her as the beast of Revelation 12 & 13.
Er I think you're mistaken Jack. Enoch was pre-flood, Elijah was post.
Also I've read that what those two men had in common was that they shared in God's hatred for sin and refused to have anything to do with it - that was why God took them into Heaven without requiring them to die first. Little is known about Enoch but look at the verse in Jude about him prophesying about an onslaught of ungodliness in the final days. That's how godly he was.
@barttheanorak Isn't that what I said? Yes, Enoch was from the antediluvian (before the deluge) era, and Elijah was from the post-flood era, but both are types of the final generation of believers.
Yes, the verse in Jude sheds more light on Enoch, as does this verse from Hebrews: "By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God." Hebrews 11:5
@VioletKitty411 I'm not surprised you've never heard this song before. It's had very limited exposure to the general public, even among believers! I guess we'll have to wait till we get to heaven to find out much more about Enoch, but like you, I wish we did know more. Blessings on you too, VK!
its very enjoyable. Thanks!

And what association has anything I said with Futurism?
It was a term that you first employed. I had never heard it, before!
Fact is what brought this discussion on was the fact that I mentioned Rapture! No where has Rapture ever been taught in the Roman Catholic Church!
