The kitten should be in the position that he would be sucking from his mother, feet on the ground, holding bottle in the mouth and allowing him to suck on it. Mine have about 24hrs with me, and is a struggle to make them eat.. They seem to have very few days as they still have the cord. i force them to eat but what can i do to stop the struggle i'm feeding about 3ml per take, but as they don't suction, they have the reflex, but don't want to, they fight and reject the bottles nipple or the syryng. ANY TIP TO STOP THE STRUGGLING AND about the right amount per intake? They are on special cat formula. Thank you

Your not supposed to feed it upside down. It's supposed to be flat on it's belly. Feeding it that way could cause it to choke and die. It's like the number 1 rule of bottle feeding kittens

I hand reared a litter of barn kittens whose mom disappeared when they were about 2 weeks old. Compared to a litter of puppies they were very vocal. If a puppy were constantly vocalizing like these kittens were you'd know there was a problem. I kept them well fed, stimulated elimination properly, and they all became big rambuctious kittens that got new homes. Is it normal for kittens to meow a lot even though they are warm enough and have full bellies?

it reminds me of the small kitten i found on the street and brought home... they used to wake me up at night because they had to eat every 2h30... they were so cute and vulnerable... but they died 4 days later... she's 2 weeks & 4 days old now, her eyes are almost completely open, she's adorable, really noisy, curious and extremely spoiled. Gosh... i can't believe she made it throught these days and she's ok.. I might just make my first youtube video about her soon :)

It is NEVER okay to feed a kitten while on it's back. You should always make sure they are in a position to put all 4 paws on the ground. If they feed while on their back or standing up, you are risking putting milk into their lungs, which can create respiratory problems.. which are DEADLY! please learn how to care for a kittne so you don't kill it. It should have been a red light there there was a problem when the kitten was whining!
