  • This is a double edged sword. Papua New Guinea has a quandry common with most third world countries, do they stay a third world subsistence economy, or do they move into the 21st century. To "advance" they need foreign currency which can only be got by allowing foreign investment. They have little bargaining power and often accept unfavourable terms. The Government has to put stringent guidelines in place for for foreign investors and enforce them. It's even worse in West Papua under Indonesia.

  • More savage then the savages..

  • The world is so demonic, friends.

  • I think the blame for this deforestation and the people suffering should rest on the Government of Papua New Guinea. There are selfish decisions made in Port Moresby by the greedy politicians totally turning a blind eye on the very people who depend on the forest for survival.

  • i think all of the educated people should care about our forests.

so everyone should help a little. doing little investments to WWF community or GREENPEACE

if all of us would give 5 dollars and when 1 million people give 5 dollars, it would be 5 million dollars.

  • @jillthedoorgirl I do hope that is the case.

  • I studying here in US. I prefer to study law and I will bring people who are taking advantage of exploitation of environment and woman and children.

I pray God help me with my dreams to become Human Rights and Criminal lawyer for representing the minority who can not speak for themselves.

  • @iopehema thank you for your dedication to the indigenous issue~which is now happening worldwide~much sorrow~

  • These people has been tricked, wicked tricksters God will punish them. Let thier be Justice for these poor souls. Saddens my heart for the poor children left behind because their parents has no school fees for them after elaborate promises. SMH.

  • This is soo sad for these people I pray God send help relief to these people. They are definately being taken advantage of.

They speak some english words in their statements what kind of language is that?

  • @pryncessable There are hundreds of distinct languages (and even more dialects) in PNG. What you are hearing here is Pidgin English. It is used across the country so that everyone can communicate with each other. All speakers will have their own language as well. eg. Kuanua, Moto and hundreds of others.

  • @babreakdown Okay thanks for informing me, I admire their creativity to build houses and other items from scratch. Amazing people. I hope they get justice, it's so sad to see people come in and take advantage of them, unfair! Have a great day!

  • White people... Black heart.

  • it's not the foreigners(Malaysians) who are to blame, but the PNG's corrupt and unqualified government. If you ask me, Australia should administrate that country for more 50 or 100 years, PNG's people is poorly educated, while this situation persists this country will be regarded as an easy prey for foreign companies.

  • @Valtyful true the govs are to blame~shame on world to take full advantage ~they do not have to go there and destroy!!!!!!!!

  • Those Malaysian companies are probably making a butt load of money. That whole part of the world is filled with Mahogany and other dark hardwooded trees. Sad to see that they are being exploited. This is pretty extreme. It's as bad as UAE.

  • Wonder how many of those barefoot chainsaw operators are missing toes or half their feet?

  • PNG, with its low population density, democratic government and abundant natural resources, plus closeness with important markets such as China, Australia and Japan should easily be the richest nation on the planet. Its people should be living Norway style. Instead, the poverty reminds me of African countries.

  • Someone please, tell me, is their anyway to stop logging in my country, I have to know.

  • I jst watched 10minutes, and I dont want to watch anymore, its sick

  • what the locals said was ''we were given money, and made to sign papers''..once the money was not paid back, the corporations, or the bankers came in and took what they had as colateral..the wood , or more specific ..their forests. this is what's going on all over the world from greece to bolivia..the same story, the same scam...these cocksuckers need to be put in order...because they are parasites.

  • Ohh my God people, why don't you understand, that action against progress, economy made by organizations like Greenpeace are causing exactly opposite thing. If you made laws against cutting down tropical forest, it will be even MORE profitable to cut trees down illegally! So why don't just buy some unused ground in tropics and plant trees, or just accept exploiting countries like Papua New Guinea - to let people from those countries enjoy profit and money? To see progress in those countries?

  • @XvallorX What's most important is the native endangered wildlife.

  • @EddieCubillo Poverty in 3rd world countries sooner or later would destroy all native endangered wildlife. So in my opinion is better to let people use some of the earth resources, give them wealth and make them more aware of environment (or maybe use wild environment as a advantage, try to gather some tourism to the country?). For me - people's wealthiness is most important. Regards.

  • @XvallorX Yeah, they could definitely use that to their advantage, and make a living out of it. After all they have some of the most unique wildlife on earth.

  • Wake up America, the profits from these stolen forests end up on your Wall Street, in one way or another.

  • hey white people want to be rich, and since they were rich to begin with, they can easily get richer-by exploiting and using the resources of the developing countries to their advantage,to take away from the poor to make the rich even richer

i know is human nature to want to be as succesful and rich as you can,but i just hope all those rich people out there appreciate the unvoluntary sacrifices that these poor people are making

  • these poor people, how awfully heartbreaking.

  • every white man be castrated and their women be sold as slaves as they are the plague of humanity

  • Comment removed

  • @plastof That seems appropriate to you? So you think EVERY white person is an ignorant asshole who treats other races like crap? Statements like this make you no better than the slave driving bastards of the 18-19th centuries or Hitler, who thought that Jewish people were the plague of humanity. Every race has ignorant assholes, so by your logic, everyone is the plague of humanity. I am not saying white people are better, I am not saying anyone is better, I just want all of us to live peacefully

  • @ecologist96 the prob;em is that whites are the main invaders and do kill these people~so consider under this pressure~you would react the same way for your children~they become forced to think this way while otherwise theyre thoughts are of a peaceful nature~a oneness with nature and man~

  • @plastof beware that j3ws often will do horrendous things and it will appar as though it is the white man that is to blame.

  • The current economic system does not give a fuck about life -- it is all about profit.

Please joint the solution of a new economic system that actually values Life!

    EQUALMONEY(dot)ORG

    Thanks

  • @JoaoJesusHere You mean communism?

Because normally economy does not give fuck about life, instead of being profitable. That is why economy is called economy instead of Mother Teresa from Calcutta. The PEOPLE have to take care about environment and other people! They can't, if they do not have any profit (for example, if they are living in new economy system, communism, equalmoney(dot)org), if they are living in poverty or government steals all their earned money. Regards.

  • @XvallorX

No. Communism is a political ideology that functions through an economic system based on the current economic system

The Equal Money System is a new monetary system which truly values life because the foundation of the value of the currency is life itself

Do not jump into conclusions without having investigated properly what is being proposed

It is very simple: do you value your life equally to everyone else's life? Are you willing to give what you want to receive?

    Join equal money

  • @JoaoJesusHere Thank you, I prefer pure capitalism. This is so far the best economic system human created. Regards.

  • @XvallorX

"Pure capitalism" is what keeps more than half of humanity living on less than $3/day. It is responsible for millions starving to death each year and millions more dying from preventable diseases.

All you need to do is to put yourself in the shoes of these people to instantly change your OPINION that capitalism is the best we can do.

You really need to wake the fuck up to the reality of the situation taking place on this earth.

  • @JoaoJesusHere A-ha! Here is the trick! There are no pure capitalism on earth. Countries closest to capitalism are the most richest and wealth - Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland. USA was wealth and powerful until implementing Keynes thoughts into economy. Capitalism has answers for everything. And the reason why half of earth population lives under 3$ per day is because of bad government in those countries. All countries in the world can be wealth - they just need economic freedom. End.

  • this is what happens when animals are put into positions of power. These People are good People with Pure Souls.. and becuase they are kind and un-educated they are easily abused by the trash that has been allowed to occupy positions of power. Send in the Marines and Kill the Bankers and Corporations who Pollute these people. Meet Evil with Force.

  • @JWnFL But them political asswholes and hippies will stop us

  • wat are we gona do about this

  • @mrg00ddude

you have 2 chooises, write a letter or Email to PNG goverment if you don't like it and feel like acting somehow, or you can shut up and go fuck yourself

  • @RedGunBullets I would say there is a lot more choices than that.. But maybe your shaped perspective can only see those 2

  • @DxsPro

of course, you can make a sign and maybe go protest in some western city you live in, some 10.000km away from PNG, that would be very effective indeed

  • @mrg00ddude probably nothing, cuz people tends to have the aspectation of waiting for others to act 1st, so they dont make a fool of themselves or draw attention. Zee evil govenment knows this and they exploit it. With indisious plan like this, how cany the lose ;D

  • @Commandos12 LETS START BOYCOTTING SLAVE MADE GOODS LIKE PRODUCTS MADE IN CHINA WHOS DOWN TO START A WORLDWIDE CAMPAIGN MESSAGE ME WE START A YOUTUBE ACCT AND START POSTING VIDEOS AND FLIERS

  • @mrg00ddude it is pretty hard for everyone to do that since in some regions stores sells made in china goods only ... well maybe other than food lol

  • @Commandos12 we all must start somewhere and progress

  • This the ultimate free market

  • They gotta make money some how..

  • It's the same thing they did to Africa. This is downright evil...

  • makes me sad to think that after centuries of doing this we still haven't learned a thing T_T

  • Thank you for creating this, provides awareness on what is existing in this world as a consequence of the consumerism we've been following as a religion. This must stop, this is unacceptable - we as humanity must realize that this is the end of ourselves if we continue this way. Support the Equal Money System to dignify the lives of the people all over the world that suffer the same way as in Papua New Guinea.

  • i am a msian... and these culprits make me sick.... poor ppl of png... i wish them all the best... and may god punish the evil ones and let them burn in hell

  • i think it's the same cronies who are robbing malaysians high and dry and in papua

  • thanks

  • poor local people. tsk tsk

  • Whats new? I'm from New Zealand and this is exactly the same thing that happened here when Europeans arrived. We should learn from our past mistakes, ecological biodiversity is irreplaceable and invaluable.

  • @jemmre Well said.
