1.skyrim not broken just buggy

2.modern warfare 3 grate game

3.imfamous 2 great roleplay

4.rage great roleplay also

5.black ops allthough it is a 2010 game

That makes me sad. It was a technically breathtaking and sophisticated hard fantasy RPG. I think it deserves more attention that something like ARKHAM CITY, which was just a slightly better version of the previous game.

Witcher 2 is definitely my game of the year 2011 (and one of the best games I have ever played). Here in Finland it was actually chosen #2 by our leading game magazine. It definitely deserves more attention. A brilliant, brilliant game.

Skyrim is great, but compared to the experience that was made for the player in Portal 2, there is no competition. The level of polish and perfection is nowhere near any other developer. On the other hand Skyrim is the first RPG where you actually get to role-play. I don't know, I love Portal 2.

@kifftin22 Wow, it kind of seems odd all this talk about Skyrim being broken then. On my PC, it looks as good as Witcher2 but even better because of the smoother framerate. No bugs either. I think a lot of supposed "bugs" aren't technically bugs and just the result of such a large game with so much freedom for unscripted moments, like when people talk over one another. Would we call the real world buggy then?

I love Skyrim. Skyrim is a superb game. I just can't see it being game of the year. It is unfinished and is still broken 5 weeks out. Portal 2 is just so flawless.

@nintengod I have Skyrim on PC and haven't come across any bugs. It actually runs better than say Witcher2 with it's amazing graphics yet high frame rate. And I've put in over 40 hours. The only things that are kind of funny but realistic is when NPC's talk over one another. My main complaints are the intended things like the lame main quest. Still game of the year for me, for sure, and I was expecting not to like it at first.

@metaitachi Yeah, cause it's not like it did the best graphics ever, or the best fps multiplayer experience, or being fun (if you're into kamikaze stuff)... Just because you don't care about BF3 doesn't mean it doesn't "deserve" a spot.

In my opinion BF3 is the best multiplayer fps game there is. As for the "creative" bit, well, it can only be said for Bastion. Skyrim (over rated), Batman and Portal 2 have the same share in my top 5 as BF3, especially when "creative" pops up.

I can't take this list serious. Except for Bastion they naturally played only the biggest and AAA releases, missing all the great smaller games, so naturally this can't be a fair list or even a representative list. None of any of the Top X lists out there are for this reason. And just to say "I liked this for personal an completely ambiguous reasons" is not a statement that deserves public display.
