Hehe, most amusing. I had one of these Grundig machines for many years - it was briliant for its time. Mine lacked the black switch between the two reels.

1. Thanks for the praise

2. The TK 23L can only make mono recordings. The switch between the 2 reels can do the following:

a. select track 1

b. select track 2 (which runs parallel)

c. select both at the same time (which is usually not too sensible because the 2 tracks have nothing on common)
