It's always puzzled me that people think the Romans really would've bothered with Jesus when they were so tolerant of other religions and only hunted down nationalistic messiahs who were threats to their dominion. Jesus never taught anything that revolutionary ("Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's"), so I doubt the Romans would've cared. He might've pissed off the Jews, but why would they have taken him before their unfriendly occupiers, instead of just stoning him for blasphemy on the spot?

TaylorX04 - Good question. I think the answer is that in order to execute someone with impunity, the Jews had to get permission from the Romans, or just have the Romans do it. Maybe the Romans promised a "better" execution too.

Interesting, but why do you think Jesus would have had impunity? The bible itself tells of numerous incidents of Jewish crowds stoning people like Stephen simply for preaching blasphemy.

Bible thumpers will say JC died so that even though we sin we will still be able to slip through the pearly gates - if we believe. That was the point of him kicking the bucket on the cross. I believe the catholic church has paid out over $500million dollars in sexual abuse cases. Praise jesus!

What I find annoying is that when a Christian was caught committing a crime such as child sex abuse, or fraud, or whatever, then other Christians say that a REAL Christian wouldn't have done that, so the offender couldn't have been a real Christian- even if the offender is a priest and it can't be denied that he's a Christian.

About sex. It is written in the bible, "multiply and be many". As far as we know, that would mean have a lot of sex.
But at the same time the scriptures make people feel sinful, if they do. It's sinful to think about sex, and so on.
I wouldn't be surprised if most of schizofrenic cases, are believers. Religion clearly don't help. It's really confusing. Isn't it ?

Just one thing: you said that because sin exists, then sin must be more powerful than God since God can't prevent it. This one's easy to shoot down though; someone could just say that "we need sin in the world" or "It's part of God's plan". It makes sense to us but to the common Christian it is a bad way to put it, I think.
Or perhaps God is simply malevolent and only the atheists realize that :P

PluralOfEverything: The video is aimed at Christians and Atheists. That doesn't mean that they're the only two that exist. It means that they're the only two the video is targeted at.
The author is, I am sure, aware that other religious and non-religious people exist who do not fall into those two categories. This video is not aimed at those people.

well there were no compasion, and they let jesus die, so that was wen humankind were really screwed, the guy came back to life, and went to heaven and made his report to god.
so, god said, thats it, they are screwed, then god decided to antecipate the apocalipse and sent a angel to show it to some guy.
the guy writen the book, and now we can read it and get ready for.

In Ephesians and I Peter is says that everything that happens was preplanned before the creation of the world. Therefore, if man sins, it's because God made him do it. Then it's certainly cruel to send souls to Hell for doing what they couldn't help.

Dean, the idea of free will is not compatible with an all-knowing, all-powerful god. Saying you have ANY form of free will is to say that god DOESN'T have control over everything. Do you make a choice, or do you have the illusion of choice? God is all-powerful, you can't do something that is not HIS will. How can god's creation (Lucifer) "betray" god? It's GOD. Lucifer thinks that he can be more powerful than god? That's moronic and why would god create Lucifer in the first place? Makes no sense

He may also have been suffering from a severe mental illness, but this would not necessarily negate my previous statement.

These questions will never be answered (at least to any level of satisfaction), mostly because they can't be. Hell, I've asked my pastor back when I was a Christian a lot of hard questions like these and I kept getting BS thrown in my face or told to just have faith... What a crock! Great video!
