hey, nice video. I think people claim that this mod AND the teflon/e-tape mod combined go to 500. I hope that's right, cuz i want to get this gun. Question: how accuracte would you say this gun is? Can it take out cola cans at 150 feet if there's absolutely no wind? Is it true it yields 2 inch groups at 100 feet? The Bar 10 is an accurate weapon, however to get the rifle up to 500 FPS would cost you quite a lot, seriously if you havve the money to spend on the upgrades then its worth it, you would need a new trigger system, piston, teflon cyclinder, spring guide, spring, bolt cap, barrel spacers, tight bore barrel and a new hop up.

No a 150 spring get's it to about 500fps and you only need a new spring, piston, spring guide, trigger sear, and piston sear.

All in all with the parts listed it will run you about $220-$250

Why diss my comment when you're comment backs up exactly what I stated, and you need more than that, you will need the spacers and a harder hopup unit to make the gun perform properly, unless you just want to waste money and ruin it, whats the point in doing the job if you're going to bodge it.

the gspec comes with a silencer and reinforced stock. iv heared that its more durable than its tokyo murai cousin. this is version also has a shorter barrel and is very very quiet. i dont own one [yet] but iv seen like 10+ videos and 20+ reviews and all rater this gun fairly high.

hey man the airsoft gi upgrade does actually increase the fps by alot mine did its not a kit i think should make it tho for a lesser price the upgrades do add up to be $110 (free shipping tho yay) mine chronoed at 390 when it got here with the upgrade i went to my local airsoft place it chronoed 490-500

Ermmm, well i have the normal version, but through what i have seen and heard, the G-spec version looks a little bit better, its usually a bit more expensive, but you get a smoother cocking handle, and a silencer which makes a small difference (but to be honest, the normal version is extremely quiet any way). If i were you, i would try both models and see what you prefere. Hope this helps :)

yea thanks man, ive just seen the ratings on ASGI and evike and the regular version always has 4.5 stars and the g spec has 4 stars (out of 5) the g spec looks really cool and its low fps wont matter with the upgrade package but ive heard things like the g spec barrel breaks easier or something possibly just those unlucky people's model....hopefully lol

As far as i know, they both have the same range, i think they both have the same spring, and that usually chucks bb's out at around 415 fps, the g-spec version will chuck them out at the same velocity as far as i know, the only difference is that the g-spec has the silencer. :)

okay so u messed up and peoples 500 FPS claim is true. You cut the airbrake down way to much and when u rounded it or watever u did it got even smaller so u should of only cut about 1/3 of the airbrake or atleast like 5/6 so u can round it . Warning this is info from other vids ive watched i will not be held lieable for any of your wrongdoing or what u do to your gun because of this comment please see other vids for more info and how to do it corectly

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I noticed one thing, at around 1:38 you can see a little black plastic tab sitting on the table. I believe that slides into a small gap where the bracket (the metal thing jutting out of the bottom of barrel that's attached to the hop up).

Yeah it comes just like that. Although there are a few places (online) that'l assemble it (and possibly test fire it) for you when you purchase it for an added cost. Although the assembly isn't too difficult. The manual itself is in Chinese text with broken English translation, but it's visually descriptive.

Yeah, I know asgi does the assembly and test fire and includes a report for an added price; however I'm not sure if it's a standard thing with online retailers (not sure if airslplat or airsoftextreme, etc. do it) to test fire and include a report with the gun.

first it depents where you buy your gun in some places they cost often the same amount as the regular bar 10 i buyed the gspec because y can fit an 555 mm wich is 55 cm and 5mm trough the moch silencer and you can get an adapter and put any other silencer on and fit easly an 650 mm bull barrel . so the gspec outperforms the bar 10

Yes its a good starter gun.

Dont mess with the internals as it will only make it worse, all the free guides offering more fps for this gun and rubbish.

The only way to make this gun fire upto 500fps requires a lot of upgrades, the smaller upgrades just make it fire badly and reduce its power.

I have this gun as stock with no mods, it fires true and near silent, buy it and look after it, you will enjoy having one, just remember to strip and lube it after every match and it will last years

The reason you didn't see a dramatic change in fps is due to the barrel length. G-Spec looks awesome but the 303mm barrel suffers a bit in accuracy and fps compared to the 435mm barrel in the standard BAR-10.

The G-Spec comes with iron sights, mock silencer and a much shorter barrel which IMO is not what you want in a sniper rifle because it hinders accuracy & fps.

You can always get a longer barrel that extends into the silencer but if your going to do that why not get the standard BAR-10 that already has the longer inner barrel and save yourself $65.

The G-Spec does suffer a bit from FPS compared to the BAR-10 but accuracy is the same. The mock suppressor can be taken off making the G-Spec a lot more maneuverable, plus that mock suppressor isn't just for looks is does damped the sound a bit especially if you fill it with foam. The G-Spec also doesn't use a tapered barrel which is a plus in my book. I guess it comes down to personal preference but I think the newer G-Spec for the same price is a better buy.

I disagree, the accuracy is the same at closer ranges but once you reach the 150-200 ft mark the BAR-10 will outperform the G-Spec.

Take a look around at some of the forums and videos here on YT, you'll see that A LOT of G-Spec owners have run a longer barrel through the silencer hence making it a BAR-10. Why? They got the G-Spec for it's looks and later realized the shorter barrel doesn't perform as well at long range. For me the longer the range less chance of being detected. That's sniping!

cool, upgrades i did with my bar10 are, pdi bore-up palsonite cylinder set, pdi fluted long barrel and base with 4 spacers, pdi v-trigger, pdi 6.01 inner barrel, now that upgrade will gonna love your gun more than any other guns you have. range and accuracy, good luck mate

Then yours is broke, mine reduces the sound dramatically, and many people were suprised that the silencer made such a difference and tested is in a 100ft corridor without it and then with it.

You may have tried one, but there is a difference between trying one and owning one, a lot of people seem to also diss it due to the short barrel,in airsoft a shorter barrel is better for trajactory, bb's use back/forward spin and are not the same as bullets affected by rifling.
