I stopped by his place a few summers ago just to see what he had. Real nice guy who took the time to show me his stuff, and talk hunting for a few minutes. When I'm ready to invest in some gunning blocks, I'll pay him another visit.

I appreciate your advise at the end about making it your own work and not being bothered by others opinions. That is excellent. I am a carver but havent tried decoys and the paint part is exactly what I was concerned about. You helped me a lot!

Do you use boards on the bottom of the cork? Or just attach the cork right to the rudder board?
