Anyone who dislikes this song is a complete moron. This girl can really hit the right notes but she disappeared and has never been seen again. Great lose to the australian industry, could of been the next Chrissie Amphlett.
@lifeguide74: Ummm....they toured in Australia in April 2008 and she's back in Australia making music. I believe they did some shows in 2009, 2010 and some in early 2011. So she HAS been seen again. Pretty recently, as a matter of fact.
@acidm0nkey haha that is epic!! i remember skating to tonnes of awesome old 90's stuff there too! too bad nowadays the dj's dont really dj they just put on a cd and when its finished they start it again, no more requests D,= that was half the fun!!

a debut album as good as it gets, the baby animals should have been huge for a lot longer than they were. Would definately see them play live if i had the chance.
She should have sang the anthem at this years Super Bowl....Na, she's too cool for that...best vocalists are virtual unknowns (not their fault...) like say Ann Peebles....Benny Mardones.....or Suze Demarchi....
@2bluefor1 have you ever listened to Deborah Conway? Aussie, amazing voice, great song writer. My fav album of hers is Bitch Epic-around 92 was released-im 2 lazy to check right now!
great song, great band. intelligent powerful songwriting with a real tough performance. they should have been HUGE. too bad they disappeared from the scene in the 90s. but reading some comments here I gather they're back? really?
I know the bass player from this band... And when I heard he was the bass player from this band I thought to check it out. Being of gen Y I naturally assumed the music was crap because it's so old and generally I hate really old music but it's not crap, it quite good actually.
Suze stopped mid song to tell off some hero bouncers, who had me in a headlock trying to throw me out for pogo dancing with my mates. Needless to say they let me go and we enjoyed the rest of this great gig.
that was when music was really played with heart..and lead guitarist really and played not like guitar heros do now...oh yeah girl you rock! so where are you now?
@coldethyl86 Suzi need surgery on her vocal cords. They also lost their major finical backer. Unfortunately the conditions weren't right for them to get more air time.
I used to surf around the Gold Coast area, and my view was quite straight forward (ladies with big hellos and long hair). Then I went to see this band at the old Playroom and fell in love with a woman with attitude, And I give you Baby Animals.
Wow...I love this song, the trouble is the Baby Animals have so many great songs including the new one "Got It Bad". I hope there's a new album on the way soon
I saw the Baby animals support The Divynals on thier first night in Sydney in 1991! I saw the show the night before when the Screaming Jets were supporting and were told to tone down their act a bit . The Jets response was less than satisfactory to the promotors, so the Jets were replaced by the Baby animals the Next night ! both Nights were fantastic , and the first time I ever heard of the BA's , but not the last !
That's cos in the US you are used to a slyck, over-produced straight-to-the-studio fabricated sound. Aussie pub rock usually started with 5 or 6 years playing dirty, violent and sleazy pubs before you even get offered a chance to record an album.
Not trying to be critical of the US scene, it's just very different. Oz rock tends to be more successful in places like Canada, Germany, etc.
Now THIS is how you rock the shit outta it!! Im still a huge fan of the Baby Animals. I was front row at a gig in Newcastle in the 90s..that place went fucking off!! Suze DeMarchi...*drool*!!
@CosmoKrameryyz Not a truer word spoken...How many aussie bands that are under rated because fuckwits in the marketing dept's??..Jimmy Barnes,Vs Spy,just to name a few.....Baby Animals could have gone worldwide no doubt!
@falcon0351 No problem mate.I saw them support Bryan Adams in Glasgow in '91 and thought to myself this band will go global due to the top drawer songwriting and the incredible presence and singing ability of Suze.If they were American im sure it may have been different!
