@TheMightyDudynator if you use this, you can have more than one button on more than one place. and if one lever out of two is activated, there is nothing you can do to un-power the first one if you're going through a door. Try this, have a door, lead 2 lines or redstone connected to levers. One is outside and one is inside. pull lever #1 to open the door. Go inside and pull lever #2 and see what the problem is.

you don't have to use sticky pistons, and also you can't have a block above the two torches hooked on top or the pistons will go crazy

This video was beyond helpful for me. I had problems wiring up iron doors and thanks to the T Flip Flop I have moved on to wiring up my own zombie fortress. If anything the creation of this basic device helped me realize exactly how to us red stone. That and about 50 attempts at trying to make a double hidden door, lol. Simplicity really is the winner here and I can't think of how this could be any simpler to be honest.

I like this, but it would be nice if you quickly went over how the more complicated stuff actually works. I mean it's not that difficult to figure out (already figured this one out, for example), but it would still be a nice touch.

There is a thing that I like to call a 'lever'. It does the same thing....

@TheChuckBeaver it does not hehe,. A lever is a single on off switch And you can have only 1 lever, adding a second lever will not work. This Flip-Flop alows you to have as many buttons as you like to turn it on or off. I have my lava bridge set up so that there is 2 buttons on either side that toggle the bridge up and down. Press button, lava bridge pops up out of the lava so you can walk across. Press on otherside and the bridge goes down =)

@TheChuckBeaver I used to feel the same way. But sometimes, power comes from somewhere you cannot control. Maybe it is not coming from user input at all, so instead of a button its the end of some more complex circuit
