This is one of my favs from When the pawn;love the music,lyrics and vocals.u can tell that she's really feelingthe song by her body language and facial expressions;I love the close-up from 1:05-1:32 ( which also shows her tremendous beauty) also love her expression and ad lib at 3:28-3:35.And how cute was that when she wished her dad happy bday at the end. I've been listening to pop music for over fifty years. In all that time I can count of my fingers the stone-cold geniuses I have heard. This is one of them. Her  songwriting is astounding. The melody lines are extremely hip and sophisticated, yet extremely catchy -- no easy feat. Her lyrics are up there with any of the great sixties singer/songwriters. Her smoky vocals have pathos and passion. And, oh yeah, she ain't bad looking either. i always try to steer people in her direction.

Apple writes her lyrics from her personal experience and I have tremendous respect for her and other artists who are singer-songwriters.

I've been feeling depressed for the past couple of days. I decided to look up some Fiona videos and I heard the first few notes of her voice and my mood INSTANTLY got better. She came out when I was in high school & I instantly became appreciative of her work. I been listening to her almost half of my life! She has intelligent & insightful lyrics. Gorgeous melodies and music. Fiona is one of the only artists that I have no complaints about. I hope she has a new album coming out soon!
