  • Lots of fine tone and volume you get from just tapping. Going to plug in a les paul and try this....but doubt I will get your big sound. I would have to give my Harmony acoustic away to a school last week.....

Hey...ordered your harmonic capo today...never used a capo in my thirty years of playing...

  • it's great!

  • Thanks for sharing this.

  • Wow.

Is there any way you can slow down the part where both hands come into play? the rhythm is very hard to catch there.

  • It might help to take a look at the tab. You can download it from the "FREE Instructional Videos" page at my weaseltrap . com website.

The tab will help because it shows the right and left hand parts separately, so you can see where each hand is at all times.

Personally, if I try to slow it down and actually think about every note, it gets a lot harder to play!

  • Thanks man, i didn't know you had a tab up!

that's going to make things alot easier :D

    you're pretty boss.

  • Where is this tab you speak of? I can't find it on your website in the place you say it is or anywhere else I've looked!

  • Oops. Sorry about that!

The tabs are now located at the weaseltrap . com site. Click on the "Videos" button, then click on "Tutorials and Tabs" below the video viewer. Then scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Tap Dance tab.

  • I've found it now. Thanks very much for putting it up, I love this song.

  • First of all....WOW!

secondly, how do you tap so that the sound comes out loud and clear, not soft and twangy?

  • Good question! I'd have to do another tutorial to answer it properly!

Basically, there's a hard way and an easy way. The hard way involves lots of practice, learning subtle techniques to develop the right touch, and finding exactly the right guitar and strings.

The easy way is to amplify your guitar with a pickup, That will elimate most of the "twang" and it can be as loud as you like.

  • Hey hey hey........ thanks for this......

  • Wow! This is a great tutorial, Bob. Whenever (if ever?) I can get my coordination back up to par, I'll be giving it a shot. I've always loved the piece, and seeing it slowed down, in detail, it actually looks playable. Hard, yes, but hardly impossible.

    Moosie
