Hey guys its Mike from FX Bikes here, I've just set up a YouTube channel to start posting more videos as requested. We've been trying to keep the whole design process semi-stealth, not show too much detail of what we've been learning along the way, but you'll get a better picture as these vids evolve. Click my username below to have a look.
OK, FXBikes: This is a challenge: You want me to spend 4-5 grand on an unknown quantity, instead of, for example, a CRF 150R (not a "kids bike": seat height of of 32.5" vs. your 31", and 183 lbs vs. your 125 lbs)
Show me why I should buy an FXBike. Show me some decent and varied footage of trail riding and exploring, not motocross. Heck, lend a couple of guys a camera and a few bikes, send them out riding for a few days, then post the videos. I'd like to buy one, but I'm not convinced. Thanks
Would love to see some clear video footage of one of these in action. HD quality without a soundtrack and the fancy edits. Give us a feel for what it's really like
ehh,, for example trek session 88 cost 6000$ and specialized demo 8 II cost 5500$ just check it on home page. they are common DH bikes and yea, they coming with no ENGINE. specialized sx trail can cost around 4500$ (+/-) every 2nd guy is using it for freeride. again , no engine ^^
I like your innovation of combining mountain bike and motorcycle!
where in the US can we find FX bikes? I was thinking about getting one if the bike is not more expensive than a fullsize dirtbike or offroad bike such as Yamaha TW200 or XT250.
If the price tag was around US$2000-US$2500 it would more reasonable and you guys would sell more too!
I hate the soundtrack and the sped-up" im going fast but not really'" look. Aside from that they look like they would do nice pancakes. Powerfull enough for sand?
hoa, that sounds expensive, my motorcycle was only 2 grand (brand new!).... hmm... I hope they can bring down the price. The engine (200cc) itself on my bike is only about $300 ~ $400, I would think they can make the fx cheaper?
I had a chance to ride one with Mike over in NZ while i was there and for a first time motorcycle rider i just picked on up, got on and i was off! It was just so easy!
They're not too dear aswell and are great for the weekend warrior who doesn't want something too serious but still wants to have alot of fun!
US$4995 when mass production bikes come out in 2008. this is for top end bikes with marzocchi monster t forks etc. big wheel crf150 is 77kg so 20kg (44lbs) heavier and is designed for a 12 year old motocross racer...fx geometry is for adult trail rider.
did u sell? I can find only few pics on google and few videos here. I can find pit bike 125 with 11 ps on ebay and will cost 340 euro. Also I can find all DH parts from a new DH bike and will not cost more than 1200 euros. Why this bike is so expensive? U'll win more money if the price is reasonable because u'll sale more bikes. A crf 150 have more than double power and just 12 kg more than ur cheapest model. I think is better deal!
I've seen these things in action, they're totally insane. And there are heaps of spare parts as they use a licenced copy of the Honda CRF 50cc engine. Apparently they are selling a lot of these in America too ;D. GO KIWI!
there exspensive but not that exspensive you going to spend more then that on a regular motocross bikes and maybe a grand or 2 less on a DH mountain bike
What the hell did you film that with, a potatoe??

consider the size of the bike and the small motor used I think US$2000 or US$2500 sounds better right?
