cuz i was young and stupid. I would ask the same thing if I saw someone do that nowadays - but still, the excitement element was worth it. Id one tree sacrificed vs spending all ur life in industrial smog contributing the deterioration of this planet is a fair enough trade-off. but i wont debate ur point.
Actually, since this video was shot, Josh and I have continued our adventures pretty heavily. Together, we have Kayaked rivers across the midwest, explored the deserts and mountains of New Mexico, got lost in the ozarks cliff climbing and caving (once got trapped in a gorge during a flash flood), and returned to Colorado for mountain climbing. Separately, he has lived in the Sahara desert with the Beduin nomads, and I have crossed over 2000 miles of East African deserts and jungles.
You're the kind of guys that go out ill-prepared, unknowing, reckless - occasionally making someone go get your broken or lifeless body. Its a good thing you didn't encounter any seriously dangerous conditions or your parents might really be bummed out. Go to the leave no trace site, do some research into acting responsibly in the back woods-like not climbing baby trees/destroying things or going out without proper gear. That said, DO go out again, just leave the jack-assery back in the city.
South Zapata Lake" trail and is 7 miles south of the Great Sand Dunes near ALamosa Colorado
However, most of the video was shot off trail, including the falls and the climbing - at the end of the trail is a lake and we went beyond it straight up the peak. The Falls were way off trail in a gorge to the north.
Awesome vid guys, i love hiking and anything that has to do with living life... Me and a freind are doing a video on Colorado extreme lifestyles... if you guys wanna dd anything to it please feel free to hit us up... check out the Colorado Lifestylez Promo vid i have up.
yea what the fuck is your, and everybody else's problem on this comment board? they're having fun, doing what they enjoy, and you guys are criticizing them for such. i'm going to Colorado in 4 days, doing exactly what they are. i can only hope i'll have as much fun as they did
This is still a rough cut. The blurriness on some of the photographs is because when we were trapped under the falls, the camera was submerged in water and it never fully recovered...
hey thats really cool......you guys still have both your arms XD hahahaha

dude why are you destroying a perfect aspen tree? do you realize that aspens slow down wild fires in the woods.

@benjamintyson how u guys manage that cost wise??
TRIPNnuttzNfcknBUTTZ 1 year ago
@TRIPNnuttzNfcknBUTTZ My three rules to super low costs on expeditions:
1 = No Hotels. Always stay with friends you make along the way or at a hostel or in your own shelter.
2 = No restaurants. But food from the markets. Pick up some fruit and carry it along.
3 - No Taxis. Always either walk, hitch-hike, or take public transportation like the locals.
Those 3 right there will revolutionize cheap traveling.
