  • Thanks for the posting. Would you please tell me the name of the electro magnetic lock system you are using. I am trying to build a secret door as well.

  • he's screwed if the electricity goes out and hes stuck inside

  • You sir are awsome lol

  • "As you can see, I am tugging on it"

    Teeehehehehehehahahahehaheha

    ahahahaha

    ahem.

  • That sure is a swell rape room you got there!

  • can u give me list i can do this to my door

  • awesome job man, especially for a homemade project. Mind if i ask where you got that electromagnetic locking setup?

  • what if you get stuck inside?

  • @PCgam3r14 Write the code inside the room...

  • that's real practical, i think i will block off my basement with a secret door.

  • wow im lost for words..super cool!!

  • do you recommend a certain electromagnetic lock system? Price? Where to purchase?

  • where can i get the electro magnet and how much does it cost

  • You should grow weed,dude.

  • @Infomix thats obviously what he's doing hahaha xD

  • good to see you gave everyone the 258# code haha

  • @fergus354249 : code can be changed and has been

  • Nice!!

  • :S in the kitchen? Good luck

  • that was the shit it gave me ideas i almost forgot about magnetic locks.

  • Who has a bookshelf in their kitchen? Reading Freaks!

  • Awesome!! where did you get the locking mechanism???

  • nice, very well thought out

  • Is that a Skylink setup? I'm looking at something similar, but would operate with a hidden button instead of the controller. I like the idea of putting cabinet doors on the bottom shelves to make the top shelves and the bottom a pantry.

  • Forget a bookshelf! That just sticks out and would look odd in a kitchen! Use two narrow doors on the outside, so when you open it it looks likes a small pantry which would be more realistic in a kitchen. That way you have a hidden door in a door!

  • thats a perfect idea

  • its awsome but how will it open when the power goes off ?in your neighbourhood ? then you will get looked in ;)

  • @therudeboy83 - it's held closed by an electromagnet, which only attracts when power runs through it. So I'm pretty sure that if the power went out, it would automatically "unlock" the door (because the electromagnet wouldn't work any more). I could be wrong (or it could have its own power source, very handy if the supervillains knock out the power to your house while you're working in the secret lab), but I think it would just end up unlocked if there was no power.

  • isnt it weird to have a book case in the kitchen

and i mean not just a few cooking books in your kitchen but a fullbook case...its weird and if i was the police i would be like HEY JIM I WONDER IF THATS REAL (COMMENSE FAKE LAUGH)

  • use the microwaves keypad as the wireless keypad. do it.

  • That would be hottt! very james bond

  • What if the keypad system breaks. would it sill be locked?

  • thats awsome putting a gaming set up in the bacement

  • robin! to the bat cave!

  • haha... for real right...

  • Its been hillbillied together, thats for sure.

  • It probably took a lot of tweaking to get the pivot points right.

  • that is awesome i want to have my room behindit.

idea: it would be awesome if u make the keypat in a book like the bible or something xd
