Honderdelf is right. If you play korfbal on a high level the ballspeed is very high. I would never beable to keep up with them. It's creepy how fast they can make a move. And we also move slow because the accelaration you make(to get away from your defender) is much higher than when you're already running.

to shoot from above your head u need to get the upward force from your legs. but the timing between both needs to be perfect.

@inverney If you shoot right, almost all the strength is coming from your back and legs. the hands/arms are for aiming. Be sure to use your legs.
