This is great teamwork with the tank. Whenever I try to communicate with my squadmate in a vehicle or in manouver action, and I see an enemy, I just can't find the words fast enough to call my mates attention to the threat.

Should also say that while lazing with the SOFLAM its a great idea to spot bad guys at the same time. Super easy, gets you tons of spot points, and the SOFLAM recticle doesn't have to be that close to the unit to spot them. Otherwise a helpful video that shows how valuable lazing can be.

What's the point of laser designate enemies, it takes alot of time and you have to hope someone out there carries a javelin or uses guided shells, just feels like waste of time, do you really get points? If not it's really crappy. Just unlocked the CITV Station for the tank but am I supposed to sit there and paint enemies and get some useless assist points when I can go out and get some real points by killing enemies and capture flags?

That is exactly what I did in the Karkland map. Went up the crane, camp, and SOFLAM! We were on a losing streak so I decided to went up there and SOFLAM every single vehicle. Eventually, they ran out of vehicles and we captured all flags and won the game! Best strategy ever. Just make sure you have a buddy with you to watch over you. I once got knifed at the back without knowing (but he came like 10 minutes later so it was worth it).

O and a polite note to all the tank gunners out there your job as a gunner in a tank with guy in Citv is watch your immediate surroundings for foes repair spot fire javelins at laser targets but only fire your gun if your killing someone DON'T fire at choppers 3 miles away and give your position away think stealth call out targets use reference like north west or Alfa as tank driver hears the targeting but needs to know where say on my gun as you can slew round faster with your gun than the ma

Great stuff very good teamwork few things you may know now since making this video is as well as the Citv and soflam you can also have laser painter on jets and choppers to also laze targets. Like your squad mate said I love it when someone fires a javelin as well on your squad of 4 if three are in da tank Citv with ammo and 2 eng with javelin make sure u have squad explosive and 4th squad member as recon set up close to a javelin kit left by a fallen comrade so he can laze targets switch to Ja

Awesome video! To be honest tho, it seems as though the javelin is much more effective on PC. I play on the PS3... and really it's a POS even with the Soflam. Guided shells & CITV are top notch, fantastic. I've never tried the Javelin + CITV + Guided shell triple threat tho. LOL.

@nokkio82 Shooting at a lazed target automatically makes it a "top mode" shot. You are able to javelin a non-lazed ground target, but it doesn't do the extra top-mode damage.

Also, there's a way to shoot up top. Wait for desgination, and really quickly look up and shoot, before lock loses.

Man i use the laser designation with the atk heli so the SOFLAM and the CITV aren´t the only things that can mark o a target. And that it why I use the laser thing eith the chopper cause nobody like to be laser it or how ever is called it.

@Xajacs I do the same, the only problem is not many people use guided shell or Javelins. I wish more would use it. Lately thou ive seen a few more people loading Javelin than RPGs, but again rarely...

scout helis can also designate and destroy, in attack helis the pilot can designate and the gunner can use guided missles, in jets if one is using the guided missle he can also engage designated targets

Does the person designating have to stay locked after the round is fired? Does a laser designation increase the range of the person firing?
