I don't understand why these men were even questioned about eating the dead. It's not like they had a buffet before them and refused. Instead, going for Carlos's legs and liver. This was not their first choice. It had been 6 day(I think) and no rescue. Go them. What a story!

They are Catholic. The plane that crash, a Fairhild FH227 was painted white so the search planes couldnt spot the wreck.

I still don't know what all the controversy was about people eating dead people's meat in order to live. Who wouldn't? They are dead! Not eating might make YOU dead as well!! The choice seems pretty simple to me.
