Not long ago, I watched a court show where two black women had developed a different language (which they were very good at), for the sole purpose to keep others from knowing what they were saying, so they could disrespect others between themselves. The husband of one of the women was being disrespected, and the marriage finally fell apart. The judge, who was a black woman, verbally bitch slapped them for their disrespect of the husband and others.

It breeds suspicion, distrust & non-unity.

I suppose you are right. I should learn Italian and Yiddish along with Celtic, Portuguese, too. Learning languages of all countries of Africa, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Sanskrit, Tagalog, Dutch, German, French, Swedish, Polish, Czech, Ukrainian, whatever languages the Iraqs, Iranians, Afghanistans, and Turks speak, Greek and Russian for other communities in America - that should make us really UNITED, eh?.

Humans want what they know, and resist change or being forced to learn things they don't want to learn. That is one reason, legal American immigrants have, in the past, insisted that their children learn English early on, since it is harder to learn (and want to learn) later in life.

I don't understand much Spanish, mainly because English is the official language in America and I didn't think I would be traveling/living in any country where I needed to learn another language. A representative that gives a speech in any other language than the official language, seems to me, to not be representing ALL (if any) Americans (or Texans as the case may be, since all Texans/Americans are presumed to understand the official language)
