I guess it's up to me, to be the 1st to ask: What's up with that BSKITE Reunion? Is it possible? Can the wrecking crew still fuck shit up?....any member or fan respond!
truly one of my fave band ever, i got the 3 demos from pieces... to 40 daze, and i was bless to see them live in chicago in 91, cool guy indeed. and i gave tapes back then to all my friends, and i was born and raise and live currently in puerto rico! hail up blatherskite!
Holy shit, I have one of there old tshirts ...Indiana sucks now. YOu never see that many people at the Emerson for anything but Emo screamo shows. Or Punk....bleh, whatever passes for it nowadays
These guys were the ILLEST! What a great scene in Indy back then; so many worthy bands, and u could have a show anywhere... under a frickin' rock if u wanted! Went to several B-skite shows, but never played out wid. Was in Proper Burial w/ Jon Michael--where the F is he, anyway?! Found a fossilized B-skite album on cassette (in the old ride) that I plan 2 burn to CD. Could burn a copy or 2, but I'll ask Johann 1st! Ran into Scoth @ da Stutz Bldng Art deal a yr or 2 ago. Peace, beetches! T
Totally awesome- I was always pissed I never got to see these guys. I always wanted to do a show with them; I thought eventually we would given the # of times we played at the Emerson. The only songs I have of theirs are the 2 tracks on the Incinerator compilation(which is also totally kickass). Thanks for posting this!!
Johann- Lisa here from back when. Just thought I'd check you out. Suprised there's not more of your work here. It was fun hangin with ya. Scrabble with Scoth & Sleeze. Todzilla & Drew, hey!
@billyjojimbob Hey man! I'm from McKInneyTx and in 1992 all the other 10th graders kept making fun of me for not being original, they were into Nirvana. So, I got an address of the Indiana Scene and saw an ad on Blatherskite. I stole some $ from my grandma and bought "abstract" "40 daze..." and a shirt. I was never made fun of again and all the "cool" people kept bringing $ to buy your stuff. I paid my grandma back and the 4 of you still influence me today. I asked for BSKITE's (part 1)
@MyHayden08 Dude that's awesome. This is Johann, btw. Glad you paid granny back and glad we were an influence. 20 years later i still appreciate all the love. Cheers!
@billyjojimbob (part 2 of 1) autograph and said something like "Smoke some for me" and when I recieved the xeroxed picture in the mail, the 4 of you signed it but you Sir Mighty wrote "Smoke some for me, too!" That means alot to a 10th grader under peer pressure. Years laters (after 2000) my friend Mark died in car crash and a BSKITE tape was in his tape deck when the crash occurred(Grand Junction CO) I've been original since. albert collins, bakersfield ca,facebook or here/need to buy mersh now
@MyHayden08 Damn dude, sorry about your friend.I don't have any merch, about the best I can do is burn you a cd. I don't even have any of our old tapes or even a shirt. You'ld think I would've held on to some of that shit, huh?
@billyjojimbob Did you get my e-mail? I already told my friends/family from here(CA) to Colorado, and Missouri....They want the Mighty!...or the Phenomenon!?
Cool bunch of guys-- ahhhh those were the days-- the sitcom-- the faghouse--- too many 40oz of Colt 45-- and Scoths B.O.-- i barely remember any of it so it had to be great
Wow! These guys were great. Johann has the best growl ever recorded. He is also a major talent when it come to writing lyrics...a true poet. This was a top notch band. Truly missed.
i love blatherskite and it is so hard to find anything on them...i know they have been broke up for years and that sucks...do you know where i can get their album or more videos?please let me know
