  • can you tell me what icons are you using plz?

  • Arch is good, but the Wiki with relation to OpenBox is really crap. You can follow the procedure to the letter but stuff like embedded Urxvt doesn't even mention that you also need it in your autorun file and that changing the setting in rc.xml won't work - you need to change them in Xdefaults. I really feel for people struggling with this when a common response on the forums (which I refuse to join) is the typical RTFM!

The gentoo forums on the otherhand are friendly and helpful

  • I really love Arch...but I have so many issues with installations, apps crashing, etc (mostly user error I'm sure) that I just gave up and went with Mint.

  • Awesome setup bro! btw can u provide links for the wallpaper and the theme?

  • this looks so cool : b. this is just openbox? no kde or gnome? ;_; i want it. but i couldnt get flash installed on my 64bit arch ) : so i quit xD

  • where did you get that pointer, cursor whatever the name of that is??

  • This is my goal!

  • What is the name of those icons you use? been trying to find them but I can't.

  • @Askar450 Hello, I see you asked a month ago but in case you are still interested;

I remembered where I had seen this set and looked it up for you, the iconset is called "area o.42"

I hope you can easily find and install it if you still wish.

  • very nice setup!!! could you pls tell me how you managed to record the sound, I'm using recordmydesktop, but was unable to record sound, either with alsa/pulseaudio/jack... thx!

  • nice... how do you get fade effect when switching desktop and appearing menus?

  • @josedb

xcompmgr, will give you all the nice drop shadows if you want them fading windows etc.

if you are running open box whack this in your .config/openbox/autostart.sh file:

    xcompmgr -fF -I-.002 -O-.003 -D6

now you will have the fade in/out when you open windows.

  • That's sweet, great setup! Arch rocks so much!

  • @TheCellarGuardian

Thanks, Yeah i cant get enough of Arch!
