  • Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber dislike The Lord of the Rings.

  • I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT THIS SONG HASN'T BEEN USED IN A MOVIE.

    SOMEONE INFORM ME PLEASE.

  • @cocopup220 Considering it only was released a year and a half ago, and that it was made as a tribute to a book series, it hasn't been used in a movie.

  • 2 deaf people xD

  • Any one else get a raging boner?

  • this final is so epic... the chorus are beautiful... **

  • It's not an orchestral version though... it's merely instrumental. The title is wrong.

  • @faselblaDer3te It is not wrong. It even says on the back of the cd case that it's an Orchestral version.

  • @GigaRagnaSlave

Still wrong =P Al that's different is that there are no vocals, right?

  • This would be a better film score than many film scores!

  • I actually think this version may be better because I don't think that the singer's vocals match the song as well as in other songs like Sacred WOrlds

  • 5:40 to 6:35 is the best part, one of the best bridges ive ever heard

  • @improvisedcinema1 I'm just getting gooseflesh around 7:35 and forward when you hear the echo of the choir singing

  • 1 people lisent justin bieber.

  • I love to sing along, loosing my voice completely to this song...this is so perfect, but with Hansi's voice it is really the edge of time....

  • Normally I'd go in all CAPS rage for cancelling Hansi's voice, but this... So great! I'm drooling a new lake.

  • @erawiel And you, my friend, just found out how Númenor sank.

  • Even though there isn't any singing, I still find myself belting out "WHEEL OF TIIIIIIIME" at the appropriate moments. I just can't help myself!

  • 1 deaf xDD

  • This also reminds me of an earth-shattering war between the gods.

  • Reminds me of epic boss music.

  • The most epic song I've heard ever...

  • concentrated spinefreezing...

  • 6:35

  • amazing, especially from 5:46

  • It's so much better with the lyrics removed.

  • Gorgeous music! Up the Blind! :)))

  • By Odin's great beard this is a MASTERPIECE!!!

  • @DaKKaDaKKa100

More like by the great beard of the Creator (if you read the novells)

  • Hmmm which to buy... the vocal version or the orchestral version. Both are equally awesome.

  • @Shadoessa Both! The whole album, in fact!

  • imagine a blind guardian orchestral festival!

  • @crocodile3120 imagine a 2nd blind guardian festival !!

  • Am I the only one who still hears the lyrics when this song is played?

  • I cant get this out of my head... :D

  • Just simply a masterpiece. The balance, the dynamics. ooommmgggg best song i've heard in quite a while. Thumbs up for this one!

  • This would be awesome background music in a science-fiction film!!

  • The text of this song is based on Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, see more in wikipedia.

  • my eyes crying...

  • Die Scorpions mögen die erfolgreichste deutsche Rockband sein. BG sind einfach die beste. Hier kommen auch Metallica oder ein DeMajo nicht mehr mit. BG sind für mich die KINGS OF METAL

  • Children...thats how sex is.

  • @metalupyourarss BETTER

  • @metalupyourarss I can feel something moving in my pants "epicness bonner coming"

  • @metalupyourarss

then the replay button must be oral!

  • @metalupyourarss Probably.

  • It's like they knew when i kinda lose focus, so it dies down to give me a break, but brings me back in for an epic finish. I FREAKING LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!!!

  • I may dare and say this is the best instrumental I've ever heard ... I feel like I'm riding a camel :D

  • Prince of persia! :D

  • QUESTO PEZZO è GRANDIOSO, MI FA IMPAZZIRE LETTERALMENTE, MI VIENE LA PELLE D'OCA SOPRATTUTTO ALLA FINE!!!

  • @nightwishdel quoto, un capolavoro

  • deserves more views and 10x likes

  • the most epic thing ive ever heard

  • Great song.

  • orchestral EPICNESS \m/

  • this is just awesome, because its awesome... true story!!

  • this song is fuck**g nice fuck the rap :D

  • This is what you get when you intend to make a progmetal cake and you accidently spill some 1001 nights in it and you take a bite and it tastes F*CKING DELICIOUS AND YOU SELL THE RECIPE FOR 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 DOLLARS

  • Hmm... I wander what Sa'angreal the Aes Sedai used to create this song....

  • @Sky1991XD dude, even a full circle of male & female with callandor couldnt quite match up 2 this. this is the power of the creator, the light himself!

  • AMAZING. My song of the decade. Srs.

I think I prefer it with the vocal tho.

  • 0 dislikes WIN

  • ...absolut episch! das MUSS man live gesehen haben!

  • ...absolut episch! das MUSS man live gesehen haben!

  • hahaha música de entrada da nossa formatura de amanhã! =ppp

  • More than perfect! \m/

  • I know I'm not only WoT head who stumbled onto this.....

  • This is one of the best songs I've ever heard in metal. I'm so glad progressive is making a move towards orchestral upbeat arrangements while preserving the overall feel of what metal is supposed to project... and then hearing it from such pristine groups like Blind Guardian. This is one future I'm looking forward to, especially with a new Nightwish album around the corner.

  • Best Instrumental ever. And I rather like it without vocals. No offense Hansi, sorry, you rock! \m/

  • No melody? You must be joking. There is melody all over the place. Listen to it one more time. Maybe to song is too complex for some?

No, it will not make it to the charts. This is better!

    BG rules

  • @rgsson and then there was silence is also complex but full of melodies. i can't see concrete melody here.no theme.although good orchestration...

  • @Gothicmaster100 Lick my butt.

  • @Gothicmaster100 You mean you can't sing this while driving a car? Yep, that's not pop, it's METAL. It does possess a melody, but it's "a bit more complicated" than in pop

  • the most impressive piece of art i´ve ever heard.

  • seriously, noone notices this problem i've pointed out?

  • @engasal I have not noticed that, perhaps the speakers your listening on might have an effect... but past that I couldnt give you anything ><

  • sounds perfect for the Aiel Waste...

  • @naerey Exactly what I was thinking, except for the chorus which feels really Seanchanish( a word I just made up).

  • i just creamed my pants while listening to this masterpiece

  • Much better without the vocals.

  • I read Towers of Midnight to this. MOST EPIC EXPERIENCE EVER!

  • fuck, it's just like my own album. 3:40-3:60 has a really horrible clicking sound, it's on other songs too, and other albums that have been released of late by other bands

  • 1:26 reminds me of Script For My Requiem...

  • This song, high bass headphones, highway 185 in MO, and a motorcycle with over 100 horsepower and 80 footpounds of torque... Nirvana.

  • This should be in every action game or boss fight!!

  • When the Eye of the World film comes out, I really, really, REALLY hope this musical gods compose the soundtrack.

  • this deffinatly is epic. however it is more epic with the vocals.

Blind Guardian rocks!!!! (may they continue to provide music for me to venture off into epic ancient worlds with)

  • One word: Phenomenal

  • I have to agree that without Hansi, i can't help but feel there's something missing.

Still, it sounds just majestic, epic, add Hansi to that and it would be really close to the perfect song.

  • when i listen to the choirs i just remember e.s. posthumus... i like that

  • This is honestly one of the best albums I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing in my life! The brilliance and intelligence of every member of this band sincerely impresses me.

  • I like how Hansi said this album has "Some epic elements".

I'd like to hear something he think is incredibly epic. My brain would probably explode.

  • Possible some of the most epic music I've ever heard!

  • this is exactly what the world needs right now, metal that remembers not despair and hatred but power and hope! this band is the spearhead of using something that is so commonly dark and vile and making it mighty and golden! BLIND GUARDIAN!

  • @Mikhavoc Don't forget to respect the dark as well, for without the darkness the light would lose it's majesty.

  • @Mikhavoc Interestingly I've noticed a trend of this lately. And not just bands that were always kind of focused on honor and hope. Even previously negative bands have been headed on this, for instance Samael, a previously black metal band that even had some satanic tones and even prided itself early on as having created "one of the darkest albums ever" has done this from their album Solar Soul onwards. Amon Amarth, a number of folk metal bands, hell even Judas Priest. It's an interesting trend.

  • @Goldenkitten1 I've only listened to older darker Samael and didn't like it, I'll have a look at some of the newer albums! And yes, newest Amon Amarth sounds amazing ;)

  • @Mikhavoc Yeah. Of course they're still of a heavier style than this, though they've now taken on an industrial vibe as well so musically it's not clost to this. However I was speaking more from a lyrical standpoint in which case several of their songs have now hit on topics such as anti-racism, getting past differences to achieve a better future, and believing in ones-self to achieve a goal. A very radical shift from their previous topics.

Just thought it was related and interesting.

  • @Mikhavoc (cont'd) Since they aren't the only ones I've heard do this. Perhaps it could be argued that in this time of economic/political strife a lot of groups have come to the conclusion that what the world needs is hope and not darkness (obviously from a musical standpoint that can still be interesting, but sometimes something more uplifting doesn't hurt).

  • Chunks of this song sound like they were sampled directly from the Lost Odyssey soundtrack... particularly around 4:30 sounds like "A Mighty Enemy Appears" to the point of lolripoff.

  • I am SO GLAD this is based on Wheel of Time.

  • I want it!

  • Hansi's voice is really the driving force behind the song. It doesn't have any punch without him.

  • @DulBeat I disagree, certain passages ( 0:50, 1:17, 4:00, 6:05, and 7:58 hands down) still give me goosebumps.

  • This is like...perfect!

  • sound like nightwish lol

  • Is it just me doing placebo, or is even the "HD" version here considerably worse than original CD flac? I have to null-test that one. Either way: the record quality is BEYOND AWESOME.

  • @ForceDestroyer True

  • Mindblowing, although I was kinda hoping for a real orchestral version, without the use of electric guitars, drums and stuff.

  • @LJBhoppetee its not orchestral version of the song its an instrumental version of the song, thumbs up!!!

  • @ibicvic Dude , It's an Orchestral version :) I have the album you know , it's orchestral. BTW it's not juste BG who are playing here , it's an orchestra hence the name , don't you think ?

  • @LJBhoppetee agreed

  • @LJBhoppetee who says a "real" orchestra cant have electric guitars and drums?

  • @kettlemagic

You know what I mean. Just classical instruments.
